Dave Ulliott is fighting bowel cancer... http://m.hulldailymail.co.uk/Poker-...ancer-battle/story-26262452-detail/story.html
I've just read the link and he certainly sounds upbeat, even motivational. Good look to him, I really do hope he beats it!
Thats a bastard of a disease. Doesnt sound good. All the best to him. I work with a lad who's 5 years in remission from it, stats arent good for recovery from Bowel Cancer.
I did some plumbing at his house about 20 years ago he was a scary ****er, he had a pawnbrokers on Hessle Road and there were some right dodgy geezers in there one day ready to play cards. I had to go in and ask for my money, I was ****ting meself If anyone has got the bottle to try make the best of what he's got its him, good luck to him
Trust me lads, you don't want to be wishing this man well. I won't be replying to any comments about this post.
He's a complete and utter tool. Bezzie mates with Derek George. That said, I wouldn't wish anyone cancer I hope he beats it.
A bit akin to the leper playing poker who chucked his hand in ? Never want to hear about such misfortune...however much you don't like a person. Wish him well.
Black Cards can make you money , but will leave an awful feeling in your tummy. Aces If Dave beats It.
Definitely a real shame! If you haven't read it already, his biography 'Devilfish - The Life & Times of a Poker Legend' is definitely worth a read. Even if you are not in to poker. I
@devilfish2011: Unfortunately Dad, Dave 'Devilfish' Ulliott lost his battle with cancer today and died peacefully surrounded by his loved ones. xxx
Only last year, goes to prove make the most of each day as you don't know what's around the corner, r.i.p
It certainly does, my brother was diagnosed with cancer in May 2011 and passed away in the November thats how quick it can be and of course even quicker (i.e. instantly) in other circumstances. RIP Devilfish, a true legend from Hull
I had a client who came to see me mid Jan this year to tell me he might have cancer. Phoned me the following week to confirm the terrible news. I went to his funeral on Thursday. Great bloke and a loss to those that knew him. The symptoms he had were actually the signals that it was too late to do anything, which is the scariest bit of all.
