how many fans do u rkn we will take down to southampton on saturday we had 486 fans who made the journey to swansea last saturday also i have heard we are only takin one tiger travel coach down aswel i heard that fans wanted more coaches put on last sat but the club said no as it would cost to much to put another coach on u would think the club would want as many fans there as possible
Reckon 700. Easier to get to than Swansea. Although the performance vs Swansea might put some people off
Yeah wade i was there at swansea on saturday thort we started pretty well the first ten minutes of the game.
It's not much easier to get to and I think a fair few will have been put off by Saturdays performance, I'd be surprised if we get much over 500. Considering we've got at least £180k of an away supporters fund kicking around somewhere, it's disgraceful that more hasn't been done to get fans to this game.
If only there was some type of fund, with money put aside, that the club could use to fund more coaches! FFS
I'm mainly thinking for any city supporter who lives down south. I'm going as it's a straightforward train ride from London for example.
It's definitely easier for southern based supporters, I just wonder how many will be put off by Saturdays performance and how many fewer might go from here. I was going to fly down, it's only an one hour flight from Leeds/Bradford for £140, but I'm not currently doing aways on a point of principal, due to the club not giving us any benefit from the ASI money.
There normally is a good showing of southern based supporters for the Southampton game. Quite a few HCSS and HCOSC will be there. Plenty of pubs to choose from as well.
its a sad state off affairs what the club are doing to us fans at this present time with the asi money
I was considering doing that this year, have you done it before? I don't know how much hassle it would be at the other side, getting from the airport to the ground...etc.
There is a train station at the airport, takes you into the city centre. You can see the ground as you come into land for general bearings.
Cheers, sounds like a decent option. I live in north Leeds anyway so its only 10 minutes to the airport, if its that easy to get to the ground it makes it a no brainer for me.
I haven't done it before, a load of mates once chartered a private plane from Humberside and it only cost them about the same, but from memory I think it all went a bit pear shaped and they ended up getting back a day late. If you fancy it, I'd be quick, Flybe are only showing 4 seats left on the 8.45(getting in at 9.50) and returning the next day at 17.15(landing 22.20), you need to factor in a hotel, you can get there and back in a day.
Southampton parkway is next to the airport. From Southampton Central station, get the IOW ferry linkbus (£1) they run every 30 minutes. This obviously takes you to the ferry, it is also very handy for the QE2 Mile, and Oxford Street. Plenty of pubs and restaurants on the way to the ground. I recommend the Platform, its a micro brewery and does home cooked food. Away fans welcome. If you are staying overnight, West Quay has all of the national hotel brands, only one cruise ship on Sunday so it should not be too bad to get a room. Anyone driving or even on Tiger travel should note that on Saturday the Britannia will be in port, thankfully its the only ship in but with 3500 passengers coming and going it can get busy on match days.
Trying to get to this one. Only 120 miles but it takes about 3 hours by car dependent on traffic, really **** road. Spoken to a couple of Scummer fans today, they reckon it's nearly a sell out!!!! Not our end obviously.⚽️
Only one coach going down? That's ridiculous. Eventhough we have that 80 seater coach now - more should be going.
