Good, at least we have that clear, we are talking about James Mooney, the employee, the Communications Manager for Hull City Tigers. I am pleased you have no doubt, but I have seen very little to endorse that certainty; you may have done, but it is something of no value unless it comes across in an official manner. Do I expect him to get himself sacked? No, of course not; I think some might be tidying up their LinkedIn CV to find a backdoor though, as his situation is a profoundly unpleasant one, if your instincts are correct. or he might be quite comfortable with it. I have already said what I would have expected from a communications professional in such circumstances - a simple holding statement; something that acknowledges that they have been contacted, that they are aware of public concern and that they are preparing to give a more detailed explanation soon - a timeframe would be good. We have had silence to the point of rudeness, we have been ignored when it should not be necessary. He holds the position that is responsible for that.
This is a fair post of two parts: "When is the next FWG meeting when Mooney can give answers?" Answers would be good about things that really matter, rather than things of less consequence and of no impact to the owners. "Also RH were told by the club a week before last that details would be announced!! shortly!!" What is shortly in Hull City Tiger's world?
Are we supposed to afford Ehab Allam the same level of discretion as it seems folk want to give James Mooney? Is the real problem Assem Allam so all others are simply doing what they are told and are faultless?
Post 151 on this thread "I don't believe we need allies in the club, I believe that is a naive and inherently weak point of view. I can see nothing that has been achieved that is due to any allies, only self-serving puppets doing, on their terms, what is right for them."
Ah, I see. Who do you believe I mean they are? A puppet must be operated, have it's strings pulled, and although I believe some - not all (such as SAG) - of the contact from board members is ineffective and serves a poor purpose, I certainly do not mean them - who would be pulling their strings? No, I would have thought the puppets are club employees who dance the tune (the terms) of the master puppeteer, Assem Allam. I hope you weren't going to get all defensive on me. Perhaps, in return, you might give your view on my earlier question: Do you see a difference?
I've had some dealings with James Mooney lately and as DMD has experienced he's been very helpful and has communicated very effectively It is clear however that there are many many areas he has no control or influence over ( although to be fair my issue was related to the SMC so maybe that was why) I got the impression that others in the club, or the SMC, couldn't care less so he has to get on and do things that he shouldn't have to himself because no one else will He's been helpful Ticket Office been helpful Club / SMC has generally been dreadful Some people have been completely ignorant I imagine that he'd love to be able to tell everyone what's going on, and generally do the right thing, but probably doesn't know himself as the club lurches from one random AA comment / action to the next
It's not too hard, TOM. I'm standing by exactly the same principles I stood by at the outset, one of the few, hey.
Okay, let's be fair shall we? Let's start a list of what James Mooney has done shall we, just make examples of the good things- it would be useful if you could qualify them with a positive outcome, rather than something that is promised. As a detractor I think I will leave it to his supporters to sally forth and put his good works in perspective.
Got a fan on the SAG. Stopped announcing the attendances. Helped Dutch with the banners. I think he also sorted Charlie's mirrors in the bogs...
Sorted a fiasco I had when my pass was confiscated because the turnstile operator claimed someone hd passed me it back and it had been used twice . Took forever, but he was the only one prepared to do anything about it.
Got a fan on the SAG. - a good one. Stopped announcing the attendances. - I believe it was said they had come to the same conclusion, but yes, good. Helped Dutch with the banners. - Which ones; the homeless ones or the ones that didn't need his help? I think he also sorted Charlie's mirrors in the bogs - Yes, an excellent reflection on something that took a very long time, I believe. . Thanks
I think this detracts from the ASI issue. I see no mileage in it. It's possible he cold be both a saint and a sinner on the same issue, it depends on the individuals position. I certainly don't agree with all he's done. There are quite a few on here that are party to various bits of privileged information. It's tempting sometimes to correct others when you feel their version is misleading or just plain wrong, but that would be betraying the privilege. That doesn't make them puppets, or deceitful, it's just how things are. It's possible James knows little of the detail, it's possible he knows more, but it's unlikely it's his decision. Let's not lose track of the issue by chasing shadows or generating a witch hunt.
I can't believe the club are actually paying to promote that @HullTigersIndia bollocks on Twitter and it's still got less than 500 followers, most of whom are in Hull... please log in to view this image
