" I know some of you won't say it, some of you won't like it, but Gutierrez is ****e. He was ****e long before his testical cancer, I hasten to add, so let's not pretend like this is his testimonial (no pun intended). That's what Carver and Ashley want, they want people to turn up to clap the story, rather than the player, the player who has lost all dribbling ability (his one good attribute back in the day), the player who still has difficulty passing to a player more than 3 yards away, the player who is bad at tackling, bad at heading, woeful at shooting and pants at crossing. He's like the close-cropped 90 year old dad of former Newcastle winger, Jonas Gutierrez. Shame Senior Gutierrez is still ten times better than Sammyeobi. Jesus H Christ. "

Sorry TJPF, Don't agree on yesterdays game. Jonas was one of the few who did show passion and I saw him make 4 excellent blocks on goalward bound efforts. Just wish the others had shown as much. He may well be past his sell by date, but give me Jonas over Goufran and Ameobi anytime of day.

Been away and don't have time to read all of the posts, but all I can say is the best team won. Once again we were poor while Sunderland's players simply wanted it more.

Whatever injuries we have it's no excuse for lack of passion / effort in a derby match. Only a smal handful looked genuinely bothered whereas Sunderland were fired.

Ultimately you get what you pay for and they saw Defoe's wonder strike while we had Riviere, Ameobi & Gouf.

Thought we had a genuine penalty shout but not using that as an excuse. Bottom line is we are piss poor and not yet out of the relegation fight. And without major investment in the squad well go down next season if not this one.

Oh and Carver is ****e and just needs to shut up.

    I count 6 fingers/thumbs on Colback's hand Bri.
He wasn't born in Sunderland though so could it be photoshopped?

That caveman who stands in your dugout proves to the Geordie inbred line. You failed to evolve. Got to be inbreeding. ;)

Oh I get it, you think the inbred jokes are some kind exclusive Toon running joke. We've called you inbred for decades fella, we've just had so much more ammunition. :D

"Sunderland, in truth, completely dominated affairs, with John Carver’s side seemingly incapable or unwilling to match their counterparts for tenacity, effort and enthusiasm across the pitch and in truth the result should have been a lot more comfortable in the end as the Black Cats spurned a number of chances whilst Newcastle rarely threatened Costel Pantilimon’s goal."

TBH you played like we have at home most of the season... dire (and in grey too). Eggnog got the only half decent (3) forwards we have onto the pitch, and told the rest of the team to pass to them and to press when you had the ball, football is simple game after all and players are not too clever. We should have had couple more goals if our strikers were any good.
Not sure why your players cannot lift themselves for the derby but we needed the 3 (6)points, we need at least 6/7 more, you should pick up a couple more so with bit of luck we should play each other again next year. Great goal by Defoe and iirc, it was about the 80th minute before you had shot on target and you blasted an 85th minute over the bar...that was it.

Mackems won fair and square although it was a god awful showing from both sides (my mate is a Spurs fan and this is a direct quote).

They will stop up now which preserves the Derby.
Off topic I see Funky and another Mackem have just been banned from the Hull board for wumming.
    Naughty boyos.

"A small plea of mitigation can be made, in that Fabricio Coloccini and Papiss Cissé were suspended, but Newcastle still resembled a loose gathering of individuals in contrast to Advocaat’s collective in red and white stripes. Sunderland’s hunger shone through. They immediately tore into Newcastle, responding to the wall of noise constructed by their supporters. Advocaat unleashed three attackers, Fletcher flanked by Connor Wickham and Defoe. Billy Jones had a shot cleared, Defoe wasted a good opportunity, Wickham fired straight at Krul. With Cattermole returning from suspension (isn’t he always?), Sunderland pressed relentlessly."

"Wrong...Funky never actually said anything out of line and was banned for nowt..SAFC83 was banned for responding in kind to a Hull poster who re-posted his photo from the Sunderland board and said he was a wanted Peado..
The Hull poster who done this has avoided a ban."

I believe he asked the Supermods to deal with it and they obviously did, Hull didn't have any answer.

I suppose that's the danger you run when putting personal pics up in open forum. Always someone who goes that little bit too far.

Horrible game completely devoid of quality (save that moment of magic from Defoe). They actually created very little of note, however I can literally only recall two moments from our lot that could be termed as attacking. The Perez half chance and the possible penna.

Derbies are never the best to be fair, it largely comes down to who wants it. There can be no argument, they did want it and we didn't. However I do have a small amount of sympathy with our lot, Carver's tactical masterclass was something else. He literally guaranteed defeat with his team. I'd be upset but apathy set in many moons ago. It still bewilders me you can have your best three midfielders available and yet still manage to select only one, and neuter him with your other selections. That is a special kind of stupid.

Sadly that stuff with Sunderland and Hull was always likely to happen. If you put your personal photos and photos of your family on the internet, rightly or wrongly, its going to end with arguments when they get "re-used". Nature of the beast unfortunately.
