And I suppose the Telegraph is "impartial" as well as the vast majority of the press and commercial media...SKY, ITV etc are too....<doh>
I don't need to read about Farage's past to know that he is dangerous to racial harmony and the future in the UK, I just need to read his policies and listen to him speak.

I have deduced, after extensive research, that is is impossible to not rock out to that bit in Bohemian Rhapsody. Especially in the car.

Did that test years ago when Wayne's World came out. It was easily avoidable. All we did was half-heartedly hum to it. The two tracks that got everyone in the car playing air-guitar [except me as I was driving] was Peter Frampton's Do You Feel Like I Do and Led Zep's Stairway To Heaven. I guess it's a generation thing.

It is impossible to not do a fully-strained 'air-vocals' to the chorus of You Shook Me All Night Long by AC/DC

So the big question is - what is going to be done about it? Appalling.

Nothing apart from a fine and a slap on the wrist no doubt.

Astonishing episode. A poor black guy spent 30 years in prison and 28 on death row until a recent ballistics test proved that the flimsy evidence he was convicted upon was false:

Incredibly, 16 years ago there was sufficient evidence to require a review and the Alabama authorities refused purely, it seems, to look tough on crime. What can compensate for 30 years of lost liberty..?

Tried my best to like AC/DC over the years. For various reasons it just never happened. Just couldn't take them seriously. Probably a generational thing again.

Listened to Barry Cryer singing Given The Dog A Bone recently on I've Never Seen Star Wars, and it was hilarious. The lyrics are soooo bad [and I don't mean good either] <laugh>

The last bit is ludicrous. No doubt the trial was prejudiced against him as well. But these days these cases are so rare that I feel that the death penalty should still be in place. For example, Dzhokar Tsarnaev is on trial at the moment on 30 charges, 17 of which can be punished by the death penalty. There is surely only one fate that awaits him if found guilty of all counts.

And what about the fact that 152 innocent people have been released from prison having been on death row for numbers of years..? Are you saying they should die because the principle is a good one..?

I think there can be a legitimate case for the death penalty, but there must be absolutely no doubt, as in the case you mention. However, on the whole, I'd rather not.

Yeah, and not knowing if you will be executed year to year, imagine if he had been executed?...that's why i'm glad I live in a country without the death penalty, UK justice isn't perfect but it's a world away from some of the southern states of America.

I agree with that and I can understand those who don't want it. Also I don't agree with the US system where jury's decide whether to recommend the death penalty. For me, the trial judge and 2 other judges should meet and discuss the case. If they all come to the conclusion that the crime is bad enough to impose a death sentence then the convicted should be sentenced as such. However if just 1 judge has doubts then life imprisonment should be the sentence.

Is it just my wireless system or is the internet a bit slow today. Even the Galaxy S2 is slightly slower and it is far more geared to quick wireless net access.

I agree...It is better if a 1000 murderers are shown mercy, than 1 innocent person is executed. Remember that innocent person could be you.

Feel like I've just been writing non-stop match programmes the last few days.

Friday - Mansfield - done and won
    Saturday - Tranmere
    Tuesday - Newport

All at home, meaning the all need programmes and the last must be submitted by the close of play on Thursday.

Former Saint Micky Adams coming to Roots Hall this weekend. :)

Bearing in mind that those 1000 prisoners will still be enduring life imprisonment.
