For me doesn't so much stem from the result (which was brilliant) or the performance (which was better than of late), but the fact that every man, woman and child in the stadium with Sunderland in their hearts done their bit on Sunday...The fans were the 12th man without a doubt and let's hope it continues against Palace this weekend..
Agreed I was thinking it was gonna be a bit of a nervy affair with too much tension coming from the terraces, but the fans stayed with the team all of the way. Great to see, and very much looking forward to the Palace game. Still in trouble, but a lot more positive about things
Totally agree RAW but the team needs to make sure the atmosphere doesn't fall flat as well. They must start with pace and enthusiam from the whistle and keep the fans on-side.
Don't know whether to Boo Pardew for being such a **** or cheer him for all the good work he put in up the road.
The team must start on the front foot and show the same commitment as against the mags, and the crowd will be no problem, this will be another huge test of character, Palace are a side on the up and play with pacy wide men that will test us far more than Ameobi and Co did. I would settle for any result other than a defeat, tbh, but a win would be another huge lift.
