He is proper **** though isn't he? Especially compared to Jelavic and N'Doye.

4 goals in 14 starts isn't too bad in my books. He's playing in a team low on confidence.

Gomis has a worse shot conversion than Hernandez but got two against us.

I don't think Hernandez is proper ****, far from it. I think we're playing a game that does not suit him what so ever.

How much effect would Juan Mata have in our midfield when the ball just gets catapulted over his head?

How good would Michael Owen in his prime have been chasing down long balls and challenging 6 and a half feet defenders for high balls all game?

Hernandez is proper ****. All he has is pace. He's weak, no gut, gives up too easily, greedy, takes shots when shooting is the worst possible option, misses sitters. If he can start thinking about his passing we might have a decent player in a similar style to a zaha.

A striker having a shot at goal isn't a bad thing. I'd rather have him do that then piss about with it like Aluko does.

    What is it with Aliuko
All that skill and seems scared to have a pop at goal

Always seems to be on his wrong side.

Not like that should matter, even hit and hope in those areas and it can cause a problem.

It's funny how the service is fine when it's Jelavic and N'Doye up front.

Hernandez is just a lazy ****er. He wants it on a plate for him all the time, he hardly ever makes a run and creates space, and he's so slow to react to passes he misses out every time the ball does come anyway. Jelavic and N'Doye create space for chances with theor movement.

This is unfair on the goalies as a big factor with our goals conceded has been defenders backing off giving the forwards a shot and a marker, Dawson has been guilty of this several times for starters

Said this all along, the midfield is totally lacking in threading through balls through, Huddlestone and the rest have been appaling at it, makes us one-dimensional relying on crosses from Elmo/Brady/Robertson, with no Jelly and a Dame who has gone the way of the other strikers in starting well then hitting a brick wall it means we are easy to play against, and Hernandez or whoever a target for criticism

Quite an honest opinion of Meyler's tackle from Monk...

“I think it was a genuine 50-50 challenge,” said Monk.

“My initial reaction was it was a bad challenge, whether it was a red card or not I don’t know, but I don’t think there was any malice from the player [Meyler].

“He didn’t go in to hurt Kyle, but if your foot’s a little bit high and you go over the ball then you always run that risk [of getting sent off].”

Kyle Naughton is going to miss the rest of the season with angle ligament damage.
