Who will they bring in to make them better? Guardiola won't be leaving, I doubt Madrid will get rid of Anchelotti this summer, Simeone just signed with Athletico for a new contract, so which world class manager can they realistically go for?
2-0 Palace. Tall order for City now. Lovely weighted free-kick by Puncheon, but I don't get why Hart was so far to his right. Why leave that entire space of the goal open to be attacked?
Although City have been horrendous this season, should Pellegrini really get sacked after having won a domestic double last season? He deserves one more season to right his wrongs, in my opinion. Don't think it's fair to keep chopping and changing managers.
It's interesting how City have a squad which is both old and also lacks English players, maybe we can sell Walcott and Wilshere to them for the tune of say £65 Million.
Citeh couldn't afford them without selling players first.Aren't they only allowed to spend £49 million ?
In other ex fullback news I thought Clichy looked a shower of sh*te, which, you know, HA. Actually a really good game to watch and Citeh played well by and large. Just goes to show the perils of pushing forward against a side with fast, dangerous wingers. Cracking goal by Toure too. I hope they don't ditch Pellegrini though, he seems a genuinely nice man and they are few and far between in football. Combine that with the fact they won two trophies last season and it's a damning outlook for football if he gets the boot.
