Secret of staying up? Win the games you really should win, if you don't you will struggle to stay up - it's official, we're really bloody struggling. :emoticon-0148-yes:

We can speculate all we want. The truth is the dropped points from winning positions was always going to come back to bite us on the arse, Stoke. West Ham, Spurs, Arsenal, Man City. Our inability to defend right up to the 90th plus minute as been our problem, plus a keeper who has no confidence and a defence who have no confidence in him. The Jak had a decent game vs Liverpool, made an error vs Southampton then got dropped. Maybe he should have been given a run, but its all ifs nd maybes. That's football.

I do love it when we lose and the board goes into meltdown.

    Some overreact far too much.

I agree totally but it looks like the bandwagon will get their way, heard murmurs that Harper will be in next game and the next weeks training will be set up accordingly

Great post Sterling, I feel the same but it's pointless reasoning with the likes of Tigerpants . Very good analysis as usual.

The secret of staying up, for me, is don't be so bloody negative. Pardew at Palace just gets them attacking out wide where their strength is and they score goals. Before that they were a boring negative side like us who got what they deserved - **** all.

QPR under Redknapp were good at home with two up front but away from home they always played a negative 4-5-1. They never won a game. Under the new manager they've won at least 2 away games including the other day at WBA. They played 2 up front and 2 out and out wingers, they won 4-1.

We've spent far too long this season playing with no proper strikers and no ambition to attack. Still only 3 points all season without Jelavic, and no wins. Last year we went at teams a bit a more. This season we do it in very brief spells but that's it. Far too often we get penned into our own half and can't get out. Stoke at home, Tottenham at Home, Man U away were three examples of games we just couldn't get out. The first two were only after getting red cards but other teams don't retreat so much when they go a man down.

Seems to me we spent loads of money to try and become a mid-table side, but we still believe we can't be more than a bottom 5 side. We give teams too much respect and just accept we're only Hull so we'll camp in our own half. We've got a better squad than Palace, by a long way I'd say. But we don't have the confidence they have to just go and attack teams. They didn't need a load of new players to become a decent side, they just got a manager who started letting them attack with freedom. I don't want us to change manager, I just wish Brucie would grow some balls again.

We will stay up if we beat Burnley.
QPR and Leicester have left it too late. True they both picked up points on Saturday, but how many times have we won a game to think we'll then push on and haven't. They are poor teams.

I'd play Jakupovic over Harper, just rate him as a better goalkeeper in general. It's something I'm sure SB will be looking at, nobody in that team is infallable and we saw last season that SB isn't afraid to change his goalkeeper. I just don't think it'll make that much of a difference if we don't start doing the simple stuff outfield.

There will be a day when you will look back and think did I really write an essay of complete ****e defending our Gk.. He Has been c**p for us this season and has made many mistakes...I understand the team hasn't performed to their best and certain players have been dropped throughout the year through the season however, a player who has made too many mistake, lacks confidence and is off form continues to stand in goal!.... You cant say our defence is too bad, 7/10 they will do their job...mcgregor is far from that in the last 7 shots covering 2 games he has conceded 6 goals...for a defence to only let a team have 6 shots hit the target (one team been chelsea) that is bloody excellent, you just hope your GK is there to save the other shots and he never is, dont cloud my judgement from your gullibility!

I dont really like you, I just tend to ignore you though! You think your opinions arr fact for some unknown reason. You patrol the message boards like your Mr Hull City at the end of the day, you are just a crappy forum moderator with an often biased opinion

It's got nothing to do with being gullable, I've been to or watched every game this season, I'm not just basing his ability on the last two games (which have been defeats, funnily enough you never seem to complain when we win, even if he concedes), I'm talking about the whole season. Goalkeepers make mistakes; Courtois is, in my opinion, one of the best goalkeepers in this division and he managed to gift a goal to Hernandez last month. Fair enough, McGregor is out of form, I'm not debating that at all and perhaps it is time for Jak or Harps to come in and give Mags a rest. But you've been on a one man crusade to have him shelved for a while now and it's getting tedious. He's the best goalkeeper we have at the club, whether you rate him or not, why would we play somebody who wasn't as good and take the risk of them being outclassed?

He made several key saves in the QPR game to make sure we went home with three points and although he was beaten by Milner's excellent free kick, he kept Man City at bay pretty comfortably. When we lose and the keeper makes a mistake, it is frustrating, but you seem to get sand in your vagina every time we lose and McGregor lets a goal in, like he's supposed to save every shot ever hit at him.
