1-1 not any more....we must be the only team who's manager thinks you can go up by playing for draws every week.!
I think most Town supporters are tonight......it was bloody hard work supporting Town this afternoon, we looked like a team with no stomach for the fight, bizarre team selection, the only player who had a decent first half was Chaplow, I really do wonder sometimes what goes on in MM mind.!
Is it all over?.......again. I think top two is getting unrealistic but I think we can still make the play offs and I suspect it will go down to the last day.
If MM does not have the balls to actually go out and try to win games then yes the season is all but over, we now need to win at least 3 maybe even 4 of our final 5 games just to even finish 6th.....I just don't think MM. Has it in him to let our boys play with any sort of freedom.
What do you think will change next year warky? Do you think ME will trust MM with a bucket load of cash? Or do you think MM will change his footballing philosophy ? Can't really see any of the above. IMO this season has resulted in as big a failure as RK never will we have a better opportunity to get promoted and MM has screwed up big time I know one of the arguments for keeping MM on will be that a new manager will want a whole new bunch of players BUT after we fail to get in top 6 not only will we lose the loan players there's a good chance we will lose our best players eg Berra so we will need to rebuild. Giving MM obvious failing as a manager I believe we should cast him free and employ a younger more forward thinking manager and not another hasbeen who has clearly struggled to adopt to the modern game It's time to turn the page and start another chapter
I do think MM got it wrong today......but I think that Sears was being saved from a full ninety As he did tire against Bornemouth and also that Bishop could also be given time after shin splints, Williams is clearly not ready for a full ninety minutes but as someone else said get in front then pull them off imo................Tabb seemed to do well for our goal.
I had and always will believe that RK should never be allowed near a football never mind a football club, so not sure where that come from But I am genuinely intrigued if you think MM is an outstanding manager with a brilliant tactical mind and has been a great success here
Can I interject? I would say that the "we've only spent £10k" has bit you in the arse in the end. At the end of the season it is always down to squad depth. I think mick has done a very good job with what he has got. I think ME should have backed him more when you guys were flirting with the autos though.
Bringing Tabb off when he did made no sense, he was playing ok and as you say did well for the goal, get ahead in the game then make changes, if Bish or Williams had broke down we would have played out the game with ten men, better to play them for an hour, hopefully get ahead then bring them off.!
As long as MM improves on the point tally of last season then I think he deserves backing.....and he will receive my support for another season.
Problem with MM is his stubbornness and lack of adventure, he has gambled a number of times recently on "resting" players and each time they have backfired in a big way. I do think days like today highlight his weaknesses as a manager.!
Yeah like I say I don't disagree with that........unless you can get away with getting one or more a total day off if you get me....but as it was the game did need at least one from the start.
