No, Mr Carver, 'credit' where 'credit' is due. There is just SO much more you've done this season that should be taken into account other than just yesterday. Your 'reign' is not just defined by the defeat to Sunderland but all the other defeats and lack lustre performances you've managed to conjure up during your time in charge. Don't undersell yourself.

If losing to the scum is the final nail in his NUFC managerial coffin then I'd happily take that collateral damage.

We've been ****e for a long while now and whilst I wasn't expecting miracles yesterday I certainly was not prepared for the utter dross we were subjected to and rightfully punished for.

As for who would take over....in all honesty I really could not give a flying ****. As long as it's not from the current crop of backroom staff, anything, and I mean ANYTHING has got to lead to an improvement. God forbid Ashley keeps him on AND hands him a cheque book in the summer.

TBH, It's not all that fair. Carver isn't even a manager, he's a caretaker, and he's been given a really ****ty job in a ****ty position.

That's pretty magnanimous of you Tash seeing as you didn't get your "booking" bet double thanks to that motley crews abysmal effort. He doesn't describe himself as a Caretaker though.

This. In his head Carver is a top Premier League manager. Yes it would have been a challenge for anyone to take that role on with all the limitations it comes with (no money, lack of squad depth) but what I have a problem with is that his over inflated ego and high opinion of himself is blinding him to what the rest of us see and experience in real life. He is unable to see that he is out of his depth even though the abysmal points we have taken since he has been in charge and the lack of any sort of passion in the players should be all the evidence he needs.
