Did you not learn how to use full stops and capital letters at school?

Fantastic promotion season., stayed in the premier league, F A cup final, Europe, WOW Brilliant times unfortunately this season we have struggled along with a few others so were crap. Yes there as been mistakes by the manager, yes we have had one of our worst seasons for injuries, yes we have let in a lot of last few minute goals and yes at times we should have gone for it more but like you say if you can get into your third season then you are starting to become a more established premier league club. If anything I think we should have done better against teams around us and that's been our down fall but over the last few years we have had some great times, I really hope we do stay up but have my doubts but if we do I am sure I would really look forward to another challenge of the premier league. Hopefully we will get the opportunity to have another go and may be learn from our mistakes

Great post, however someone is going to disregard your fine words and kill you for forgetting the full stop at the end.

It's not **** for Swansea and Stoke supporters because they've established themselves by not over-spending. We shouldn't have bought Hernandez for 10m, should have brought in someone like N'Doye for a quarter of that and had the rest sitting in reserve for 'just in case' come January. We're being found out for trying to run before we could walk despite Bruce warning about exactly that. We shouldn't have turned over half our starting XI in the off-season. Guys like Rosenior, Quinn, Boyd, McShane have been thrust to the side in favour of shiny new toys.

is it worth over £500 for 19 home games? certainly not

seeing your team do what we are doing isin't fun, it's not the opera.. it's ****

but i guess it's what a fan is being a bout? honestly, i can't be arsed

the wages, the billions that are lumped into the league

i as a fan are not represented, it makes no difference unless i pay the sum to attend the games.... **** it

You're saying what you feel...and well if I may say so. Having a drink & supporting HC AFC is the only way to survive the roller coaster.

Every signing is gonna be a punt being Hull City - whether it be unknowns from Europe, established ( mercenary "twilight of their careers") known entities, or even (non-existent) home grown budding superstars. We (HC AFC) are not a big draw..it's a crap shoot getting players who can make a difference in the door.
"Dirty does it" for the first 2 or 3 years ( a la Stoke), that gets recognition & may attract a better calibre of player in later years.
You've gotta gamble a little bit ( e.g. Hernandez) and seek so called value (Robertson, perhaps N'Doye).
The manager is doing his best with the resources at his disposal - perhaps making the odd mistake in the meantime tactically, but don't expect miracles...Canna " make a silk purse from a cows ear" as the saying goes.
We stay up....Bruce is the best manager we've ever had in our history.
We go down....Bruce is still the best manager we've ever had in our history & circumstances were heavily stacked against him.
The margins are that bloody close.

We have looked the worst team in the division for most of the season, but occasionally we have shown with the players at our disposal we belong.

Have some faith in the players available, and the emalded managers

I'm talking about the amount spent, not the quality of the player we got.

If we hadn't been so badly crippled by injuries this season, I doubt anyone would be questioning Brucie and the players we signed.

Why do people keep saying the injuries aren't an excuse ? Of course they are.

Of course they're an excuse, a legitimate one.

All teams have them of course, but teams like us losing, what, our best 6 or 8 players at once for a few weeks, massivelky affects us. The teams above us can lose their best player and still have enough strength in depth to win games.

We have the best Squad we've ever had, but it's still a mix of PL and Championship players. As we stay up, we improve that situation across the board.

The injuries are sort of an excuse, but when we were missing Diame, Snodgrass, Robertson, Dawson, Hernandez we shouldn't have been any worse than last season when none of them played for us (and we were missing Brady and Aluko all season too)

Even with injuries, this squad is better than last year's.

Supporting a team such as Hull City will always involve highs and lows.

It's all about perspective though. Some fans are getting uppity about being relegated from the PL !

Something we could have only dreamed about 20 years ago.

    FFS, get a grip people.

I'll still be there next season whatever.

    Syd

Stoke have spent an absolute fortune on establishing themselves. Have a look how much they spent in their first few seasons. All bankrolled by the Coates family.

Many Stoke supporters I know (in general some of the 11-14K that went in the lower leagues) are bored ****less knowing it's as good as it's going to get. Meandering through each season knowing they probably won't be getting into the top 8 or finishing in the bottom 8. Bored with it already.

Even some of their PLW are being more choosy over which games they go to.

I think the thing is the race for promotion is so exciting but the promised land isn't all its cracked up to be.

Say we stay up for 4 years, we're never gonna finish higher than 10th, and if we do it will just be a one off. What happens after you've become an established Premier League club, do you just continue to stay up? Because we're never gonna push into the top half.

Then what happens the attendances come down, away following drops, and you become one of those clubs who everybody knows is boring as ****, until one day you have that off season, and then you go down. And the chase begins again, but this time we know it's not really worth it.

As for Bruce I'm really fed up of him, his **** excuses, he's now blaming the ref for decisions he got right. I can't believe he's been given a new contract, how can you give him a new contract after all the money he's spent and we're still on the brink of relegation, the Sunderland fans were right. Everything they said would happen did.
