Ok, it's a difficult one. We all yearn to be successful again. Chances are Red Bull could deliver this. But the point I make is that they don't do "takeovers", they consume. Red Bull is the only brand they care about. If we get to the top it promotes the Red Bull brand more than Leeds United and that is all they care about. A kit change hardly matters but if it is Red Bull rather than Leeds United that win the premier league then how do people feel??
As long as it's still based somewhere in leeds I really don't care. Let hull and cardiff fans fight for their history if it means that much to them. I am struggling to work out what history they are on about in any case.
Totally agree with that, and I said it somewhere when their interest first arose. If glory wants to sell his soul up to him.
Not going to make a blind bit of difference what anyone thinks, if they buy us they will do what they want. If it works everyone including you will be on board. If it fails we will both be saying the TO was ****e.
They are a company, will just apply corporate rules, turnover, spending etc, They wont give a flying **** about us or our history. Anyway, how many clubs are owned by people that care anymore? Sky and bosman fecked it all up some time back.
Exactly. We get with the program or we die. The money men won, they always were going to thanks to Murdoch.
So Cellino says Red Bull ARE bidding for the club, once again shooting his mouth off ... in response, the Head of Global Football Marketing at RB has denied this ... interesting point is that it's not one of the top directors at RB denying the claim by Cellino ... when Cellino lifts the lid in this manner, it puts the deal at risk, because share prices are affected, and RB will find that the price of a club they may want to sell drops as buyers know they need to sell ... Cellino is such a fcucking loud mouthed fool, he really needs to go ... as I was told, the ONLY thing standing in the way of this deal being concluded is Cellino himself, so we may as well wave bye bye to Red Bull
That is an excellent point in favour if Red Bull takeover. Future supporters probably won't remember the white kit if we are successful. It depends on how much you want success and what you're prepared to give up for it. On the one hand I'd love for us to be involved, just once, in a very exciting season, where with no disrespect, we don't fight about a 17 year old who's had one good season (and might turn out to be brilliant). That we are in 'the mix' come the end of the season. On the other the reason I hate the Chelsea success is it could have been anybody. If abromovic picked any club then they would be where Chelsea are. Would we really want to be Leeds United Red Bulls??
Leeds united red bulls, The red bull arena at elland road, NO THEY CAN **** OFF BEFORE THEY EVEN GET HERE, LEEDS AND PROUD, MOT
My respect for Cellino goes up if he stands in the way of the red bull deal. Obviously he's doing it for different reasons but I don't care.
And those referencing Revie's change of kit colour, you know that was a completely different circumstance and for completely different reasons, it wasn't so he could just promote a product on our behalf and we didn't get shed loads of money for doing it. That man was tremendous when it came to psychology of the game. Don't use that to justify some quick fix which will see us lose the club.
Not ******ed, but probably in the majority of youngsters. Even older mates of mind have to ask how we are doing in the league, outside the PL you are a nobody to a lot of people. To the latest generation Leeds are a Rotherham or Northampton, just another lower league team. We are only famous anymore to people over a certain age.
Josh, saying you respect Cellino doesn't make sense ... the man is a convicted fraudster, he's going to continue destroying our club and we'll always be fighting relegation not competing for promotion ... Leeds in the Championship year after year is very bad for our club, we can only attract average players and our talented players leave ... take a look around the leagues and see how many ex Leeds players there are out there that would make up a promotion winning team if they were still here ... Cellino is never going to get us out of this division, and he knows it ... he is not standing up to Red Bull, he is trying to make sure they buy the club by giving their bid publicity and hoping for a huge public reaction a la Russell Crowe's tweet ... the stupid thing is he is probably jeapordising the deal by breaking silence, but his ego always means he misses the finer points ... he needs to go or we will always have seasons with three obscure managers coming and going, our best young players being sold and heavy defeats to crap clubs we should be thrashing ... if this continues our global brand will diminish, youngsters will rather follow Man City or Chelsea and we will become a Lge One club the size of Preston or Blackpool, a once proud giant of the English game but never again to be seen at the top ... so, admire and respect Cellino, it is your right, but be sure that he will destroy us and fast Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
I think you should read my post again, Josh. I was more about the current fans & social media. The Don would never have pulled it off if either, never mind both were around then!
