I've already told you, you are being a complete idiot trying to be clever with TubbyLard. He is well known to all long time, proper City fans. As he says, has been a fan for over 50 years. That is a fan who went all through the bad times, one who helped City with money when they were really struggling, one who was involved in all the original fanzines and a whole lot more which I won't say as it isn't right to giveaway some details without permission. That is unlike those who say they don't mind a name change and have been fans for 50 years when they mean they went in the Waggy/Chillo era then disappeared until we moved to the KC where they now sit like dummies telling everyone else to sit down and shut up as they are spoiling the view of Stevie G, Wayne etc...
I have a feeling our survival will begin with a home win against Liverpool. They're struggling at the minute (although they do face a struggling Newcastle next) and can't seem to keep 11 on the pitch (neither can we) and with a roaring support behind them - and the fact our players step up against the bigger sides - I think we could pick up a result at the KC against them.
My only hope is an unexpected win and then a winner takes all against Burnley, lets just support and hope
Not really dropped a clanger have I? Of course he has. 50 years unwavering support home and away, apparently. Mine was a flippant statement in response to his flippant statement. It's funny how ever ****er has supported the club for 50 years home and away.
it's not my argument either, but you should recognise the use of "stevie g" as being a put-down of the premier league brown-nosers infesting the kc for the wrong reasons.
X, who obviously has more brains than you although that is hardly difficult, understands my use of the the term Stevie G.
In his case it is a fact. He will be at Southampton. Will you? Funny how all these don't mind the name change types claim to have gone for 50 years. Can't understand how we got crowds of 2,000, 3,000. Though I can remember seeing ?Tubby Lard at them. Were you there?
As I aren't 50 years old , it would be difficult to amass 50 years support. I have been a regular since '87. So yes, I have been to most/all of them. Home and Away.
My advise to you is - Don't but in on someone else's argument. Don't come in half way through the argument. TubbyLard actually responded patronisingly to my post first which was merely a general post relevant to this thread. for your benefit see the two comments below. TubbyLard first with his 'Let me guess, you won't be stood with us at Southampton then?' Then my post which was directed at how easy it is to make a generalisation on a message board. Even included on the end is 'Easy to make sweeping generalisations'. Just for your benefit mind. As clearly you're hard of thinking and reading. Stevie G, you have just been aided by someone else conveniently offering you a plausible excuse. Besides - for your benefit Enjoy your day, however menial it is.
Think now would be a good time to play Liverpool but expect they are going to win there cup replay match, so our game against them will be postponed and we'll play them later just as their form returns. At the end of the season, big clubs normally come good, but there are always unexpected results. Let's hope we get one as we're normally rubbish at the back end of campaigns.
