    Great to see him emotional at half time, he has obviously been working very hard since coming to the club as he wants to prove a few people wrong. I am not bothered about badge kissing, I just want to see hard work and commitment, Defoe gets paid a lot but he gives us 100% which is all I want to see. A quality player and a great signing. The three with him, Fletcher and Wickham could be really good.

    Tears at half time and to admit his emotion in interview is a sign of real passion and no matter what he earns it is football and goal scoring that is his desire

    SAFC will have a whole bunch of new supporters here after today. The coverage was superb. They treated it like it was the game of the year, which it was! Really good stuff.

    Defoe made me cry. But he went first.

    It wasn't just a single stroke of brilliance that won us the game. I thought we dominated everywhere. I was also really surprised at how poor the mags were. Is Carver on our books? Well played today!

    Defoe wasn't my man of the match though. I thought Seb and Catts were magnificent!

    To be honest, I thought Wickham and Fletcher were poor. They lacked composure at key moments.

    Enough of that though, we looked like a team more than capable of staying up. I just hope we can carry this attitude forward.
