Was the result and performance today a sign of things to come for the remaining games or was it a flash in the pan giving us false hope. Personally I hope a sign wecan stay up
I hope. But apart from near goal we were 2nd best and I doubt we will be that effective every week. I also hope but doubt CR goes back to 4 2 3 1.
Sorry as I'm just not sure, this is QPR we are talking about. I really do hope it's a sign but whatever, I'm just so happy right now and will savor this feeling while it lasts. U RRRss!
To be fair to Ramsey with vargas starting on the left it isn't a genuine 4-4-2. Vargas tends to drift inside making it more of a 4-3-1-2. Very risky and lopsided, but we simply have to go for the points now so I'm passed caring what the formation is.
I hope it's a new start. A change in mentality and knowing how to win. had enough of false dawns and want to see my club do something good. Regarding Villa, its about time we beat them. I was there the last time 3-2 where we blew it. Every season they struggle and it's about time they fell through the trap door.
A great day, but defensively we still look very fragile, could have finished 3 3 if baggies had taken their chances
You are right about Vargas and his position.Apart from his goal he wasn't so good either, gave the ball away a lot in dangerous places. Nico was better all round, a good headed flick for Austin'goal, some good tackles and played a lot of sensible balls. He looked fitter today too I thought.
Tuesday will tell us more. Sherwood will want to show Fernandes what he turned down, but great that Bobby, Vargas and Barton got goals - we need at least 2 a game given our defensive lapses.
Have the same gut reaction - I'm singing when Rangers win and Villa lose, not Chelsea who are irrelevant to us. Especially when we send them home with no points and 8 men and Terry again.
I think we got lucky today in terms of everything going in (although no penalties) but we could have had more in the last few and been in a better position points wise. The only thing I didn't like today was the marking - we seemed to start 15 yards off and then close once the player got possession. If our players (fullbacks in particular) can start a lot closer then I think we'd be less vulnerable. Let's hope momentum is now on our side.
Great day.....but my hopes are tempered by our weak defence....the Baggies had enough chances to get a draw today..... And the reoccurring theme of a player comes into form and then gets injured Faulin, Fer and now Vargas
Have to agree with this. However, for once the luck went our way. Let's hope it is the change we have been longing for.
Tuesday is the real 'acid-test', Sherwood will want to put one over Ramsey for sure and vice-versa. First goal will be crucial but at least we go into it with some confidence and self-belief. A win would give us a fantastic boost as Chelsea really looked average against Stoke and some of their 'Fancy-Dans' won't have experienced anything like Loftus Road at it's rocking best...
I didnt saw the match and its probably true. However if we would have taken our chances against Everton, Spurs Liverpool we could have 34 pts right now.....
Who knows. The big difference was all down to scoring an early goal as opposed to gifting the opposition one. Winning is 90% to do with self-belief which itself comes from confidence. Had we conceded first it could have been very different. The tactics matter but belief, passion and pace matter more. That is what Ramsey has brought to the players available to him. That is what Redknapp managed to drain out of them. Having scored we did not sit back for the remaining 75 minutes hoping to hold on to what we'd got. Inevitably West Brom were going to throw the kitchen sink at us in the second half but we kept going forward to try and score again.
