Either James Mooney is very clever at spinning on behalf of the Allams or his hands are tied. If it's the former then 'hats off' for he's taken us all for a ride, if the latter then he'll probably get fed up of all the flak he takes and eventually leave.
Calm down son, it's not much fun trying to get the whole story out of you. Unlike some, I prefer all the facts before I go off on one. If, as you claim, James told you stuff would be at Swansea today, and clearly it wasn't, I'll be interested to hear his reasons for that. For all we know there might have been a rethink, which would good. If it's some other reason, that is clearly bad and James will have to explain that.
I don't need to calm down and I'm certainly not your son you pretentious ****. You accused me of making things up which I would never do, all because you can't accept any criticism of the club no matter how well deserved.
Seeing you like facts can you tell us the ones that show a name change would bring in extra money from sponsors and all the new fans a name change would attract? And where the rest of us can see them?
Is this the same Happy Tiger that got all uppity the other day when he was accused of being deliberately contrary in his posts? It can't be, surely.
I very rarely use this forum but I reckon happy tiger is a leeds/hull fcs fan on a wind up Does anyone actually know her?
If the club are paying for travel that isn't being used then that's obviously a waste of money, that's why the FWG pushed for discounted tickets, as they get used and everyone gets the full benefit from the ASI money, it's simply common sense.
This issue isn't down to James Mooney, when he's messed up he always holds his hands up and he's really uncomfortable with what's happening with this one, I have no doubt he's acting on instructions from above.
I agree. To be fair to James, he's stuck his head over the parapet and had a go at bridging the gap with supporters. Because of a discussion on CI, I was looking around d on Twitter, and found some message form the ulltras. It was interesting to see that they, like others who have had dealings with him, defended James Mooney. There's a few issues where I don't agree with what he's done, but respect the fact he's never going to please everyone.
To be fair, he bends over backwards for the Ulltras, they think the sun shines out his... They even got him to move part of the East into the North.
I know several of those that supported the evictions with no thought for others, it's why some of the 1000's walked away but it's a separate issue really.
I am only looking for an informal answer, I don't consider you accountable, just in case other's might consider it otherwise, but are HCST looking at the terms on which this money was passed over to the club? I would have thought such significant sums would have had some measure of control.
It may be a waste of money. Though why people not turning up should be a problem unique to City is another question. However that wasn't my point.. They said people not turning up cost them money. It doesn't.if they have booked 10 coaches they have paid for ten coaches. People not turning up doesn't mean they pay more,it is the cost of ten coaches irrespective. It is just another poor excuse. Personally I think discounted tickets are the best way. Despite that idiot Sunbeam Tiger making the ridiculous claim that those on the coaches are the hardcore support and others are big time Charlies. A lot of the most dedicated City fans don't live in Hull so what benefit is discounted coach travel from Hull to them? Whatever, the Allam's behaviour in this has shown their contempt for the fans. Another reason why walking away is becoming easier. You would have thought these sort of things would havevseen the scales fling from the eyes of even the most besotted Allam fans like Happy Tiger and the others.
There are no positives to be drawn from the club not using this money as far as I can see. If they'd used it in a way where they seem to get credit for the gesture, it would stick in the craw, but if fans benefit, we'd know the reality and could live with it. To do nothing with what is free money, to me us just bizarre. More so when they're hoping for official support on the name change application. Does anyone know the implications for the club in not using it? Do they have to give it back, not get it next time...what?
I've moved some posts from this thread to the banner poll so that each discussion can be carried on in context. The ASI fund is an important one, and needs to be fully discussed,
