Rodgers is a young, relatively inexperienced manager. The owners took a chance on signing him up, but now he's here we have to accept that it's quite a steep learning curve for him. He's not going to get things right every time, and he's going to make a fair few mistakes in different areas of management.
If he's still here in another couple of years and still making the same mistakes then the criticism will be more justified, imo.

Clearly Liverpool isnt the best place him.

Nobody knows whats going on behind closed door but somethings wrong. I mean Sterlings and idiot for going to the BBC but considering Rodgers response and his previous, its understandable that Sterling has done so.

Imagine having to sit down with Rodgers and the board. The guys a walking, talking cliché.

Sterling would do well at Spurs or a club at a similar level Liverpool.

This is all a load really

Rodgers has been responding to incessant media questions and based on the leading on the sterling camp did before Christmas he said it was close. Ever since rodgers had that problem the press have been on his case

In short everyone with any experience has seen this all before. Right now lfC have the power but only this summer. I have said since before Christmas that he should be sold if he fails to sign so imo the club should get the best deal possible now

In May lfC will be 75% sure in europa, we need to move him

Oh and the same goes for henderson if he fails to sign too

None of these are any more vital than any player in the history of the world and certainly not messi

    So.....

    Is he fairly good, yes

Is he a bit of a count yes

Does he miss an awful lot yes

Do lfC let him away with it yes

Will he be ready next August for a big price tag? No

Will clubs think they can bid what lfC paid for a chump like lallana... Probably

Will we sell? No we are too stupid and will accept 40 mil on sug 31

Around an injury prone striker, a solid midfielder who wouldn't get into any big team, and spend £20m on a mediocre defender.

Hes 100% leaving because Marca may or may not have said so. Madrid are also signing Cech, Neuer as well as Casillas signing.... Or perhaps not signing a contract extension.

AS have said that De Gea is flatteres and likes spain but that he might not go because Casillas might stay but hes definitely losing because some fans called him names and he conceded some goals that perhaps De Gea (or Cech /Neuer) may have been able to save or not save.

None of the above takes into account De Geas missus is Spanish and a pop star who may or may not be able to sing. Being spanish and obviously not english shes unhappy about the clouds im manchester but recently told the MEN (Manchesters very Marca) she never actually said she hated Manchester but that Madrid is better.... Unless you are Gareth Bale.... Or Casillas....

    In a nutshell, eh?!?

Sell him abroad for £40-£50 million and buy Reus for half the price. His attitude smacks of a typical young money grabbing prick.

Gone past the point of no return, imo, when players appear on tv saying that it isn't about money, but he wants to win things. Basically code for wanting to go, and tbf he couldn't have known, this time last year, that we'd sell our best player and a huge chunk of our transfer kitty on over-priced journeymen and dire deadbeats that shouldn't even be in the premier, let alone at a supposed top five club. Let him go - he doesn't want to be here, and he'll probably not win much here anyway.

Problem is, who abroad? Only clubs that can afford the type of money we'd want are the big players in Spain and Germany... and he'd get no where near any of their first teams so can't see why any of them would be interested. Young and English doesn't mean as much in Spain as it does in England

He's misguided and arrogant, he must know his game at this time doesn't merit what he thinks he's entitled to, the agent can be blamed for the contract stalling but Sterling himself is responsible for the BBC interview and for the answers he gave to the interviewer.
Its not wrong to be ambitious and want to win trophies and its not wrong to expect a payrise based on your status but disrespecting the club that put him on the map and that stood by him throughout off the pitch issues is piss poor.

Even if he signs a new contract his head his elsewhere and not at LFC....sell him asap for as much as we can screw out of any prospective buyer.

The lad is getting a lot of abuse but we have to remember that he is just a kid. He's clearly being misguided and abusing him is hardly going to convince him to stay.

We idolised Suarez but he was arguably worse when it came to engineering a move away.

Let's wait until the end of the season before judging - personally, I think he will sign a new contract. He has another 2 years left on his contract. He's essentially missing out on a lot of money by not signing.

I see that a lot, and at the end of the day he needs to grow the **** up. He's 20, he needs to use his own damn brain and stop being "guided". Sick of these morons not being able to actually think for themselves.

Sterling won't go to Italy and he'd be right not to.
