Been a terrific effort so far...just wonder if Jonny could come on for cameo 20 mins.....trouble is he will spark all over the place and get horribly fouled again!
Like we all realise....top form expensive team...had to level. But we must hold on...bring on Jonny to take the game back up the field.
A draw works just fine for me. The footballs dreadful though. One team trying to actually play the ball on the deck and another trying to stop them. Even the ipswich counters are one big hoof to Murphy.
Would have taken that at the start of the day, but always frustrating to lose a lead, especially in the last 10 minutes from a set piece. That was also the hardest game of our run in, becoming a Watford fan for the evening but then i'm confident we'll be able to keep our top 6 place.
Sounds a storming 1st half...quieter 2nd, but was it Tommy who lost Jones? There we go, great result frankly. Compete with the best is all we can do,
Kenwyne Jones has been doing that his whole career. I saw it in slow-mo and it was very difficult to defend against.
I think a draw was the fair result. We competed as ever, but quality again not great and can have no real complaints Bournemouth got back in to it. Still, we are are very much still part of the mix but its now 8 teams fighting for the top 6 places. COME ON boys!!!
Well... One team spent a lot money (like yours too) and has crafted a great side, the other one hasn't and does the best it can with the players it has and probably over achieved but is still in there with 6 games to play. Which points to great management.
That's about it mate. Bournemouth played football, we tried to stop them. I noticed that we lumped the ball out of defence, they played 15 yard passes and retained possession. Our defenders hoofed it past the midfield and if the ball was in midfield it got put in the sky from there instead. We took Sears off and lost any penetration we had and I feel that it gave them less to worry about because Freddie was lively. It was a good game if you like to watch attack versus defence but on this viewing it is very clear why we are labelled a hoofball team. Chambers was the main culprit. Still, a point gained but it feels like two dropped and that we were to blame for it.
The boys gave everything they had and we can't expect more of them. Skuse , Varney, Sears were the stand out players for me but of course Berra was just superb. He had that cheating diving little twat in his pocket all game. I would have taken a draw to start with and to be honest Bournemouth apart from their obvious possession looked pretty ordinary for the main. They don't like it when they play a tough physical team and I thought we were superb the way we pressed them all game. I was annoyed at the way they were constantly throwing themselves down in the box and their overall cheating and play acting detracts a lot from them. All in all I'm pleased with a point and we move on to three very winnable games. Well done lads. Coyb
