Arsenal and Liverpool fans are going to miss the first 10 minutes of their match tomorrow to protest against ticket prices.
Actually you don't have to hold a protest to get into the KC 10 mins late the slow progress at the turnstiles does it for you
Why, as a Liverpool fan, would you go all the way down there and then miss some of the game. **** that.
Maybe because they have been asked. Or they are fed up of paying rip off prices, or they'd like to see some of the TV money used for their benefit. We'll see tomorrow how successful it is.
Good luck to them. I hope it's well supported, well covered and the message fully considered. Football is the people's game. Well at least it used to be.
Dont you think its a bit "rich" coming from Arsenal? The most expensive tickets for years and they're fans have often bragged about it.
We're charging Arsenal double what they charged us and they are quite rightly a little ****ed off about it.
The protest is being called by a number of their supporters' groups. They may have a rich history of opposing high prices at Arsenal, I don't know. However from the statement it does read like they opposed high ticket prices before. It'll be interesting to see how well supported the Arsenal side of the protest is, both inside and outside the ground.
Arsenal tickets are decent value when we play there. Chelsea and West Ham charge much more at older, ****tier grounds.
£35 I think (£20/30/35 was it last season?). I can post for certain later as I brought someone down with me for the game so I'll have their ticket on my credit card bill somewhere.
