Anyone care to guess/speculate why the club haven't dished the money out? What do they gain?

Do they have to give it back if they can't show where it was used?

Maybe they'll say they used it changing the seating etc to give visiting fans an improved experience ?

It's a growth area, as more people wander off, they have more seats available to let more away fans savour the experience.

Home from home. Its the future, sponsored by Hull pubs with match feeds. <ok>

The scarves and flags thing is just getting rid of stock that isn't selling in the store - they can't claim they used the money for those. Complete joke.

As my home base is some 90 miles from the KC Stadium, do you think I could claim mileage to away games at the standard business rate of 45p/mile? I'll happily provide the club with VAT receipts....

Or, and I'm thinking really abstractly here, perhaps the fairest thing for all supporters far and near would be to select a few away matches to discount the tickets on? You know, so everyone gets the benefit regardless of how they travel or where from? It is a completely mental idea I know. And sadly we are a little bit late in the season for that now.

Financially its a pittance to the club. Not sure whether the PL rules prevent them just pocketing it. But as ever its not about making money out of us it's just spite. Ehab, and probably his dad, don't want us to see this money.

It's funny the way some of you work yourselves into a frenzy over stuff. A couple of games might have been a fiver cheaper. Woo.

I'd hate to be in your houses when you go to make a cuppa and theres no tea bags left, or in fact judging by the way you seem to act on here, I hope no one ever leaves the loo seat up. The anger and rage would be catastrophic.

Look, you might not have gotten your way, and your demands haven't been met, I know you don't like that, but, the season is not over yet. Why not wait to see what happens? I don't believe the club will pocket the cash as is being suggested, and I suspect they'll do something which may still upset the traditionalists/luddites among you but stop over reacting at stuff you THINK might happen or THINK might be true. Some of the statements in this thread are REALLY stupid, and libelous. You should be grateful we're not owned by the Oystons.

If it turns out the club has just pocketed the money and/or done nowt with it, I will happily sign anything chastising them for that,

Where does the money for away tickets go to? Our club or the club we're against?

its £200k - if 2000 fans go to 2 away matches for £5 a match - that's £20k - he actually owes 2000 fans £50 each - he's a thieving **** - the money was given to him to pass onto the fans - not for him to sell excess club shop stock and not for him to pass the money to charity and claim he's a philanthropist

Is that a fact? He's done that with the cash has he? Care to provide us with some evidence of that?

To be fair, keeping the money is only following the lead of the football industry, that's been socially engineering crowds for years to keep the less financially able out of grounds.

If they were serious about helping fans, an upper cap on all ticket prices would have been cheaper for them.

i'll let you know what the handouts at Swansea are after the match - and you're the first to commend him on his charitable donations - so you already know that

They won't pocket it, they're just going to spend some on absolutely ridiculous gestures like free tat in the away end, without making it clear in advance, anything to avoid reducing tickets because that's what the nasty fans want.

Based on comments at the FWG, they still haven't decided what's already spent. Whatever can be budgeted as ASI money will be or has been.

The aim isn't to make money, it's to punish us. The Allams aren't about making money, they prefer to make a point.

I suspect your the only person on this entire forum who's stupid enough to defend the Allam's over withholding £200k of money specifically given to them to spend on the fans.

It's ****ing disgusting, no two ways about it.

Happy just doesn't get it. The club set up the FWG. The club invited the people they wanted to invite. The club set the agenda for the meetings. The club asked the attendees where they would prefer the ASI money to be spent. The club ignores the unanimous request for ticket costs to be subsidised.

What is the betting that any unsold retail stock given away at Swansea will be priced up at full retail price against the ASI?
It is truly appalling and a clear two fingers to the Premier League's intention of spending 0.3% of the money given to clubs on helping fans going to away games.

Despite the claim that something would be done to reward the travelling fans today, something that woud have cost peanuts as there were only 486 of them, they received nothing.
