Tory press out in force I see, trying to attack Miliband. Desperate stuff, because they know they have nothing good to offer at all.

Cameron is a busted flush and needs to be outed.

I did try and point this out.

I've just read two pages of derogatory descriptions about candidates, a few who "won"' the debate comments and a few "blame" ones....

Someone post something substantial or intelligent rather than slagging off the people. It's about what they will or will not do and how that affects us and future 'us' that is important, not how old they are, how silly they look or what colour their tie is.

The debates usually end up being about who can make their competitor look silly and who can find the wittiest put down. Just for once, I'd like a debate that had five or six key topics and each party had 5 minutes to outline their policy, without slagging off the others:
    Subject
    * our policy is xyz
    * it will cost xyz more or less than currently spent
    * we will fund it by doing xyz
    * we will increase the national debt by xyz/we will decrease the national debt by xyz (delete as you see fit)
    Etc, etc

    KISS

I literally did that several years ago. It was a 200g Lindt Chocolate Rabbit. I ate the entire lot, but just before the last chunk went in, I knew it was not going to end well. But I stuffed it anyway, cos aint no bunny gonna defeat me, goddammit. And anyway, yeah, then I puked.

    Re: Political "discussion" on here:

Boring, boring, boring, boring, boring, boring, boring, boring, boring, boring, boring, boring, boring, boring, boring, boring, boring, boring, boring, boring, boring, boring, boring, boring, boring, boring, boring, boring, boring, boring, boring, boring, boring, boring, boring, boring, boring, boring, boring, boring, boring, boring, boring, boring, boring, boring, boring, boring, boring, boring, boring, boring, boring, boring, boring, boring, boring, boring, boring, boring, boring, boring, boring, boring, boring, boring, boring, boring, boring, boring, boring, boring, boring, boring, boring, boring, boring, boring, boring, boring, boring, boring, boring, boring, boring, boring, boring, boring.

I said this would happen. All you're all doing is shouting your political allegiance to show how caring/clever/committed you are. Any response drips with sarcasm as though the person you're talking to is an imbecile rather than another rational human being. It's demeaning.

Grow up. Face the fact that you're going to vote for the same people you've always voted for, as you have totally closed minds on this subject. Anyone who is wavering isn't going to post on here; they are too busy thinking about what they are going to do to come on here shouting their opinions. So there's NO POINT arguing this subject - merely by dint of taking part, no-one taking part in this conversation is open to persuasion.

It's too tedious for words and I've ****ing had enough.

    Vin

After spreading the word at my Open Mic night last night (where Fable got played as interval music) it seems Start the Bus is a brilliant venue, pub/cafe/student atmosphere and of course bang in the centre of Brizzle. Should be a cracker!

And thank you for playing her as the interval music! It all really does help. I bore people likely to tears on Facebook (and probably here) about her, but I absolutely appreciate all the support (as does she). It's so bloody tough to get stuff away right now, every little really does help.

In a democracy you can choose to not to be interested in this and that's fine, but your own response is preaching as much as anyone else has on this thread, and you are talking to grown adults yourself as if they are a bunch of toddlers also - telling us to "grow up" etc.
Politics brings out in opinions in people, whatever they may be, and this is General Election and as such they will be voiced.

I do think it would be a good idea to have a separate thread however, because it is clear that many want to talk about other off-topic things but the Election stuff is disappointing them.
