    Now the rugby club are involved it will not be named after a footballer

    Mr Lansdown has bankrolled his mistakes, but has said publicly he does not want to name a stand after himself.

    A section of the corporate facilities will be called the Lansdown suites.

    I would favour those who choose to inhabit the South bowl as Bristol Sport describe the stand naming it themselves.

    Got quite used to calling it the South Stand but it will probably be named after a sponsor

    We need a Kop, Stretford End or Shed (not the season ticket dodger variety) sort of like some of the supposed big lads.

    Bedminster End? A place where visiting teams dread.

    It won't be the Lansdown end, if he was to have a stand after him it would be the new Williams when it's done.
    Anyway the east end as we know it was not really the name of the stand was it? it's proper name was The Wedlock stand, it was nicknamed the east end due to a section who stood in the eastern side of the Wedlocks and the name just spread.
    So really what ever it's called will count for nothing as to people will call it what they want.
