They've not passed the new rules yet, as I understand and it's over a few seasons it will gradually be brought in with the number raising after each season, I believe.

Is Ings worth a punt in the summer ??
With his U21 compatriots and merely watching the 2nd half of the seniors game, he
    knows the future is lilywhite.

I thought he wanted to be a Mouser.
But no arguement if he came to the Lane.

Kane and Davies graduate from being U21 to HG this summer.

Austin and Ings will be on the move this summer I expect but wouldn't surprise me to see Austin end up at west ham or Ings at a club like saints, not sure if either are ready yet to play for a big club as we have seen in the past players like Marcus Stewart come up with teams and score something like 19 goals, one season wonders.

Its been a while since we have seen strikers replicate Andy Cole and Kevin Phillips, strikers who come up from the lower leagues and prove they belong at a higher level so maybe Ings and Austin can prove they belong here but as we play 1 up top then I expect Pochettino would rather go for a player like Jay Rod.

The Standard's reporting that Levy told the THST that we'll be looking at players in the £10-15m range this summer.

Technically this isn't as big a revelation as it sounds, given that's the same model we used with the signings we've made under Poch, with fees ranging from the £2.5m we paid for Yedlin to the £8m we spent on Fazio. This certainly fits in with the fees being bandied about for the players we're linked with for this summer...
    Ignacio Camacho - £15m
    Toby Alderweireld - £8.3m
    Kevin Wimmer - £4.4m
    Yevhen Konoplyanka - Free Agent

On the other hand, this certainly rules out a move for Schneiderlin.

We have around £115 million of dud signings so if the standard are correct then no surprise. I would think one of the reasons for bringing Ian Broomfield back was for his ability to spot players in that price range.

Is Konoplyanka on a free? If we don't make an approach we're mad IMO. Wimmer looks pretty much set to be coming.

10-15m has been a historical sweet spot for Spurs over the past few years.
    Especially for overseas players.

So no surprises there, since if such players develop it allows the optimum Levy tax.

He's out of contract in June, so if we are making a move for him the only stumbling blocks are wages and finding the most plausible was to deny responsibility for wrecking Rebrov's career

He can't be on that much, relative to what we could offer, at Dnipro can he? Besides if he's on a free then we have a little more cash freed up to offer him as wages or perhaps a juicy signing bonus.

So much so that when I hear we signed a player in that range (down to 7 or so, really) my first thought is we’ve gotten a good deal.

While we’re at it, let’s only sign players who were born within 300 miles of London.

Observing that rule, we’d still have gotten Hugo, Eriksen, Chadli, Vertonghen, Dier, Beni, Kaboul, Dembele, Bale, Bentaleb, Van der Vaart and Vorm, but would have passed on Soldado, Lamela, Paulinho, Fazio, Gomes, Postiga and Ade, just to name a few.

That is almost my mantra on where I will work weekly in Europe. :)

Adebayor has allegedly stated that he intends to leave the club at the end of the season.

I say "allegedly" as this quote is from an African football blog - but, hey, silver linings and all that.

He is now supposedly saying, via Twatter, that he's happy at Spurs. Read, pay me off and I'll go!...

I'd also be happy to stay at a club who were paying me £100k a week to do 4-5 days football training and then rest on weekends.

This would be my team for next season:

    Lloris
    Walker Vertonghen Otamendi Bertrand
    Bentaleb Mason
    Vela Eriksen Lavezzi
    Kane

Probably unrealistic even though those aren't elite players.

We've been linked with Mata. Its the Metro so i call bullshit. However, this will probably lead to "Eriksen out" rumours.

Out of the ones we want to keep i can only see interest in Kane and Eriksen. I can't see Kane leaving right now. We need to make sure we keep Christian though.

£18m? They could at least make it sound a bit realistic.
He's just started doing well for them, too. <doh>
