So not willing to quote actual numbers then? Also, when you changed the name of CTWD to HCST, what was the final membership count for CTWD?
Because there's no organised group supporting a name change, no one sings Hull Tigers songs at games, every vote between Hull City and Hull Tigers on all sorts of samples has shown a huge majority in favour of keeping the proper name, and those like you who aren't happy with supporting Hull City and it's boring old name (but only since Allam said so of course) have absolutely no argument to back it up. But apart from all that I suppose it's anyone's guess.
Didn't we still sell all, or almost all of the available season tickets? Also, Cardiff would like to know where all their fans went? Especially as their owner backtracked and bowed to the will of the fans on the shirt colour.
The vast majority of posters on every City message board are against a name change, the vast majority of people on social media are against a name change, every poll(except Allam's Mugabesque one) had a large majority against a name change(even the OSC one) and the vast majority of the people I know personally are against a name change. Where's the proof that they're not the majority?
You don't need assets to go into administration. Administration gives you a breathing space to try and find a new buyer. By going into liquidation Bartlett may have had to find £3.5 million from his own pocket to pay off RBS. You may think Bartlett would have let that happen, I don't.
I haven't been sent an updated database yet, so I don't know the accurate numbers, but I'd guess at around 850. CTWD ended up with a membership of 1,824.
It's a ****ing nickname , never been part of our name , your as crackers as mad Allam , still you can always go back to supporting Man United if we go down , I fear a lot of these fans that are not arsed about the name change will be the ones who don't bother if we go down . **** HULL TIGERS AND **** ALLAM , NO TO HULL TIGERS , ALLAM OUT !
We're proof that leveraging any decent amount of cash out of the Far East, even with fantastic commerical tie ups, is virtually impossibe as it stands today.
While we are HULL CITY i will buy my pass and the juniors... i wont call any one names if they have a different view to me..I dont hate Assem Allem... BUT I would prefer if he ****ed off rather then carry on with this name change **** . Hull Tigers is a stupid name imo and i have NEVER met one supporter who prefers Hull Tigers to Hull City I dont believe a name change will bring in a penny more in cash .But i do believe a name change to Hull Tigers would make our club the laughing stock of Football Until the name changes ( it wont ) imo I will continue to go to games and support Hull City as usual no matter what league we play in. I like going to games as much as i always have done.
I don't fear it at all. Anyone who's happy to sell their support to the highest bidder can **** off, particularly if they actively antagonise the rest of us for standing up to Allam's nonsense.
So out of something like 12,000 season ticket holders less than 2,000 cared enough about the name change passionately enough to join the CTWD group. Why do you think that was. Also, why are there only 850 members of HCST less than half of the CTWD membership? How do those figure rack up alongside your claims of mass support for the No Name Change lobby?
But there are fans like me to whom this issue is a major one. Just because you and others aren't bothered doesn't mean that I shouldn't fight for what I believe. If the name change goes ahead it will have a major impact on my life. If it doesn't bother you why do you read and contribute to threads like this?
He's allowed to be bothered by the arguing (and potential destabilising of the club) but not by the name change itself.
Everyday is a good one, Scarb. Your opinion has changed dramatically over the last couple of years and I think it is incredibly strong of you to come on here and be very clear about how you now feel about this whole sorry mess. You once argued that he is the greatest owner we have ever had; I wish he had not acted on this in the way he has, as he would have certainly deserved that accolade - but I don't feel he does now, he has tarnished his reputation. What a damn pity!
