The funny thing is.... Assume Allam gets his way.... Couple of years goes by. Allam sells up. The new owner couldn't just do a Vincent tan and revert the changes. New owners would have to go through the same procedure with the Fa and provide a (presumably) revenue business case for changing the name back. Good luck with that one.

And that is why the vindictive old **** is ploughing ahead with this. Even if he is no longer connected with the club the name City will have been eradicated. That is his goal and everything else is immaterial.
Only my opinion, but I think the FA believe he's a raving lunatic and they'd like nothing more than him selling up so they never have to hear from him again.
If a new owner wanted to reinstate the name a club has had for 110 years, it would be done in an instant, nobody would have to prove anything.

Interfering with playing team matters when he clearly knows nothing about football Hiking the season pass prices up way above the average for the league Refusing to invest further in the team But taking City out of the official team name? Meh. He's already done it on all of the social sites and the world hasn't ended has it?
You could have said you were wrong. But you couldn't bring yourself to do that so tried to alter what you said. Intimating that right from the start wasn't the same as when he bought it. Just the sort of sidestepping and fudging someone on CI does instead of admitting they said something which was incorrect.
