I like O'Rourke, he's a nuts small government social libertarian of the best type. And very funny, none of the usual right wing fear and paranoia.

This terror of the SNP is interesting, given that they owe their popularity largely to the Tories. Started off as a single issue pipe smokers club, but Thatchers destruction of the Scottish economy gave them an in - never originally a left wing party some clever strategists worked out that ersatz socialist posturing was a potent vote winner in Scotland, much more than independence. What the voters need to remember is the left wing stance is entirely pragmatic and utilitarian. If they thought wearing uniforms and armbands would give them a better chance of independence, they would be saluting each other in seconds. Plaid Cymru is moving in the same direction. My father in law, who was an old style Welsh valleys old labour man, used to describe them as ' ****ing Welsh Tories', he truly despised them.

Good lad Uber. I've just changed my vote to the Greens (no doubt the only time I will ever vote for them in my life )

It must've been the persuasive strength of their leader's oration and her command of party policy.

It's not so much the presenters, although Matt Baker finds it impossible to hide his anti-Tory bias. It's more the PC, right-on Tristans who make up the Producers and Editors who make sure that the BBC leans heavily to the left.

The BBC Breakfast stitch up of Cameron was a prime example.
The Jeremy Vine show on radio 2 is ridiculously left wing. He gives so much more time to anyone with a left of centre viewpoint and his love ins with Ed Balls are frankly embarrassing!

Genuine question......are the leaders of SNP & Plaid Cymru actually contesting seats in this election and if so and they win are they expected to give up their seats in their National Assemblies?

You're right about Jeremy Vine. His shows are unbelievably namby-pampy leftie affairs. His "what it is to be human" series is gut-wrenchingly trite and full of leftie luvvies talking about their rampant lesbianism (at which point I started listening)...

You can get odds on which leader performs worst in tonight's debate (based on the ComRes instant reaction poll) and Bennett is 2 to1 favourite. Could be good value.

I just hope that everyone is allowed to get their say without being shouted over. I notice that some parties are apt to demand their say and then try to deny that to their opponents. The debate presenter will need to be strong and unbiased.

For reference, I'm expecting UKIP, Labour and the SNP to be the ones that need most controlling...

I imagine that we will see 5 of them relentlessly attacking Cameron at every opportunity while Clegg looks awkward. I won't be able to watch so will rely on the scrupulously fair and unbiased comment on here to learn how it went.

What would be good would be to adopt some quiz show technology. Anyone who references another party in a derogatory tone, or fails to answer a direct question, is frozen out for five minutes and their mic is muted.....

For phukk's sake COL would you ever reign it in? You thinking the SNP & Labour are "far left" and the Beeb is "heavily left" is the most obvious indicator that you're just one notch on Uber's graph away from Benito Mussolini!

It is really amazing all the focus on the BBC here. I watch Sky here - who have this boring practise of talking endlessly about what the UK newspapers say- the majority of them have a heavy right wing bias, very anti Labour..
