Some people like to stick 11 men on the line and not move as it's more likely to get a result than playing properly. Others like playing regardless of the result for the love of the game.

Well we're ahead on away goals so the draw is good enough for us. We can afford to play a good game but just need to not throw the ball into our own net a couple of times for the sake of making it more interesting.

If it's the first, then fine, I'll tell MITO I vote no lynch on all days until the a detective reveals themselves. Saves me from trying to log on during my holiday and can get on with some work before and after. Then we can systematically vote off the names mentioned.

If it's the latter, then we can have some fun and get caught up in all the thrills, spills and paranoia of a mafia game!

Have we actually agreed on a strategy yet? As Greez hinted at, starting out with this and then giving up part-way through could be the worst tactic of all...

 

Not giving up at all could be just as bad as once it reaches 7v4 the games just stays static for years

I'm behind the no lynch idea (hence my vote) but not for days on end.

Your last sentence is a crucial point. The strategy requires people to go through with it. Do we really trust each other to do that, or will we get bored and start messing around?

 

Well, no lynch is winning at the moment, so they might do.

 

Keep me right. We all entered a game so that we could all sit and do nothing for 3-6 days and then vote for people an alleged Investigator suggests are the Mafia even though we don't know who the Investigators are.

Does that mean everyone can log off for 3 days and then come back and see what's happened ( could be longer if nothing is happening over the Easter weekend)

Also if you say something you are guilty but if you don't say anything then you are also guilty.

What happens if the Mafia get lucky and recruit an Investigator and we wait for 6 days to be led down the garden path!!

Do feel no lynching vote is not in spirit of game. Perhaps the sort of thing Chelsea might do to win. I'm a member of the Toon Army and remember the Keegan/Roy of the Rovers era where if the opposition scored 3 we would try and score 4. Sitting on my hands does not seem a fun way to play the game.

Therefore I'm voting Astro

1. He's the one advocating the boring game.
2. He was Mafia last time.
3. He's trying to play a game like Chelsea and not King Kev's "Entertainers".

 

We might as well lynch the people who don't follow the strategy. They're either mafia trying to derail it or idiots who don't want to win and will screw up anyway.

We'll probably be able to trust the investigators, especially if there's two of them and only one can be recruited. It'll be clear pretty early if they can be trusted or not.
