the arguments i've had with my wife over this.......when she wants her glass filling up at night, i got do it in the bathroom sink, but she gets face on and wants me to go all the way downstairs for no good reason.....
Most bathroom cold taps are connected to the loft tank and the water is probably not clean. Unless you have a combi boiler.
Combi boilers don't need a loft tank so all cold taps are connected direct to the outside fresh supply.
My flat's plumbing is a complete mystery. No bastard seems to understand what comes from where, including the plumbers (maybe Chazz has a point about them). I did have a water meter, until I realised downstairs' hot water was coming through it
Depends how thirsty I am. If I wake up with a raging hangover and a mouth like an Arabs sandal, I'm not ****ing about. The nearest source of wet is my destination.
I drank bathroom water after eating two pieces of space cake, aged 15, and believing that I was turning into a statue. Was nice.
i wont drink bathroom water , yet i think most water these days is a direct feed from the mains as opposed to a loft tank , which i always thought was a hot water feed anyway as it didnt matter that it had dust and crap in it . weren't they gravity fed supplies with poor flow usually
Yes but only if I'm thirsty in the night. Never use a glass though. Just cup my hands under the running water. And slurp. After about 6 seconds the cold tap runs hot as the pipe lies by the site of a central heating pipe as it comes through the kitchen ceiling. I'm perfect now at breaking off mid gulp until the water runs cold again. I never tell guests this though and they often get a mouthful of lukewarm water. How I laugh when they relay the anecdote in the morning. The hours fly by.
