The battery is bad on the S6, I thought the S5 battery life was okish. But the S6's battery life doesn't come close. So stupid not to upgrade it when making a better spec phone.
Do you think it'll stop people migrating to the S6 though..? Sometimes people wait for their 2 year contracts to finish before upgrading, and therefore I'm wondering if S4's will start to flood onto the market. BTW, doesn't the S6 have plug free battery charging, or am I imagining that..?
Yeah it does, but you have to buy the wireless station for £30+. Then all you do is lay it on the station (basically a pad that is connected to a plug socket) and it charges. To me it is a bit of a gimmick and a gimmick that doesn't work sometimes. People will buy it as it is the new Samsung. But if I was them I would wait to get the Z4 (around May) or get the M9.
Clark Carlisle said he told his 5 and 8 yr old that daddy has pain in his head. The pain is why he got hit by a lorry, a little weird?
Don't you think you would hide that truth from your children..? He is their rock. He understands he has to be relied upon. How does he tell them something that could undermine everything they believe about their father..? I think perhaps his explanation is as good as any one might give to a 5 and 8 year old. He can leave the subtleties of suicide until they are old enough to understand the motivations and repercussions of it. Like into their adulthood. Besides, it won't be hidden from them. They'll undoubtedly learn far too soon from outsiders about the truth. All he can do is protect them as long as he can.
Only any good if you buy several packs of them and even more minstrels. You empty them all into a big bowl and remove the ones with a white outer shell. You then have to take turns taking one out to bite into one to see if it is a white centred one. Each time you don't get a white centred one, you have to down half/all/part of your drink. That sounds naff but it was a great evenings entertainment as a student
it's difficult, but telling your children a ridiculous story like that is stupid. I think I would have told the elder one the truth. I was about 7 or 8 when my parents told me about my great aunts suicide, I understood. I think people underestimate how capable children are of understanding about these things even in simple terms.
Telling them about a pain in your head isn't ridiculous at all, in fact it is close enough to the truth to pass for it until you can explain the true nature of the illness that drove you to attempt your own life.
I have no problem with that as it provides them with a reason not far from the truth...otherwise they may think their father will kill himself every time he leaves the house. Very hard for a young child to understand that your love for them isn't enough to overcome your despair and unhappiness. If you give a reason, they think it can be cured...worries them less than something they can't imagine.
Hahaha! Getting drunk and stuffing your face with chocolate?! Your student days sound strangely like how I imagine heaven is going to be.
Season ticket question: I am thinking of getting a season ticket for the boy and I this year, but we don't get to many games due to living in Northamptonshire and my son's extensive football committments. I noticed in the new season ticket bit this line: Opportunity to resell your seat for matches that you’re unable to attend (subject to terms and conditions) Though I rang and they would tell me what those terms and conditions were. If I can resell a load of tickets, then I will buy one, but not if it's financially not worth it. That said, would be nice to have the seats where we like to sit each match.
It's advocated by many people with depression as a method of getting people to treat mental illness like they would any other illness.
I know someone at the club who said that more will be revealed about the resell scheme following the completion of this season. As I understand it, the club will probably outsource the responsibility for this, as other clubs have: - ViaGoGo - Responsible for resell of tickets for Aston Villa, Chelsea, Fulham, Manchester City, Manchester United, Newcastle United, Queens Park Rangers. - StubHub! - Used by a handful of clubs, including Tottenham Hotspur. It may be worth checking what their policies are? Unless, of course, Saints choose to do it in-house - which I find unlikely.
Actually Black, I have been thinking; with your recent vodka induced activities, maybe you should play this game with Ribena
If it helps, you're welcome to jump I with me and my soon to be 14 year old son anytime you go to a game. We are Northampton based too....
