The Walking Dead finale was very good. Surprising. But good.

  5. Good episode, not the best finale as I thought it was a bit predictable. Not sure why you said surprising...?

Because Norman Reedus warned fans to have tissues out suggesting that there was going to be at least one main character death, which there wasn't and this was surprising in itself without his comments. Other publicity in the build up from the makers also teased some big deaths. I did enjoy how the episode kept teasing at least one big death with several different characters all being placed in very dangerous situations. But it was good in the end that Peter was the only one to get killed as it sets the next season up well. Killing off major characters in a finale is too obvious now for this show so it was a good curveball. Lots of story left in all the main protagonists.

Yeah I was surprised by that too.
This whole season, bar the first episode, which was action packed, has been very understated and low key imo.
Not sure whether that was a good or bad thing.
Liked Morgan coming back. Lennie James went on Talking Dead (The Walking Dead after show that airs right after the show to discuss the episode with celebrity fans and actors from the show), and everyone **** a brick when he opened his mouth and was British! "Dude!! You're British???"
    Americans <doh>

It's the British invasion!! This has been by far and away the best season of the show imo. I think the creators are deliberately trying to throw fans off by suggesting things in publicity events and in the show itself and then doing the opposite as they know people have read the comics and are constantly comparing the two. Morgan's return was great but it bothered me how he's become so Jedi like since the last time we saw him. It's cool and that, but who trained him?? Guess there's been plenty of time for study locked away in that first floor apartment/compound of his. Funny how the first thing he sees of Rick is him putting a bullet in Peter's face with Abe kerb stomping the back of his head, especially after his line that 'all life is precious now'. Very different from how insane and nihilistic he was the last time he appeared. Rick is more like that now.

Lennie James said on the Talking Dead that there is an origin story for this new version of Morgan, something major that happened between now and the last time we saw him in the Season 3 episode "Clear" when he was, to put it mildly, batshit crazy.
He says we will learn more about what he has been up to between seasons, next season and what has bought about his change.

Enjoyed Walking Dead, the way forward has to now be toward a way of finishing the series. It's been a great journey but as with any good series there has to be a good ending or it'll fizzle out and become boring.

    I'd like 2 more seasons 3 tops.

    Really liking the Flash.
I resisted watching the Flash and Arrow because I dont particularly like DC (Except the old Christopher Reeve Superman movies).
Batman can suck a dick! (Bale's Batman voice is one of the most ridiculous things in movies.....ever).
But both shows are really very good.

I watched the flash... it's fairly average IMO. The bad guy is a ham, the good guy is a wuzz and the amount of poeple who know who he is and the amount of times he just takes his mask off is silly.

have not bothered with arrow as i didn't see first two and never get a chance to ever do catch up tv.

Batman is the best though... christian bales put on voice at least made some sense to do but.... yeah it was weak. Batman latest trilogy was made by heath ledger. the first movie was weakish, neeson was poor and the last one was a big let down.

    what!!!!

ah c'mon for it to be a good series (not a great one even) it should have ended with end of last year with the supposed cure. I don't personally like it but like the wire etc you want to end with peoepl wanting more.....

    you don't want people yawning.

Kind of like GoT... i wish the asshole would finish his books so we all know how it ends and they can finish the show cos frankly it can be weak as piss half the time and you only wait for the set piece play.. last year was all about one show IMO.. well two at a stretch. the battle on the wall and the dwarf killing daddy.

I'm going through the Batman films with my lad at the moment. I think they are all very good, they catch the essence of a comic book character better than any other superhero film as with any film there may well be good and bad aspects but in general the trilogy is the best superhero/comic book adaptation by some distance.

yeah my problem is I dont like the comic book character.
    I hate Batmans essence.
Never liked the "Im so tortured" Anti-hero types (Wolverine, Punisher, Batman). "Wahh my parents were killed, so I am gonna spend the rest of my life taking out my abandonment issues on everyone else, plus I am a billionaire to boot." Give me a break.
Just give me a guy who can kick ass and does because its the right thing to do (Superman, Captain America, Thor)
