We've created chances. Rooney has played well. The rest of his game has been very good...just been unlucky with his finishing. He could, perhaps should, have scored a couple. Good game though, could go either way.
Barkley loses the ball in dangerous area and just jogs back putting **** all effort into actually winning the ball back.
Not ot at all. Just don't think we've been great. Italy scored and then sat back and let us have the ball... 1 mistake let Rooney in for a shot and other than that, not created snything (bar the long shot goal). Theyve let us pass it around infront of them. Weve bs been much better 2nd half and not terrible, but haven't seen much to get excited about unfortunately.
We're playing Italy away mate, not some no hopers at Wenbley, we've played well and are full value for the draw.
The same Italy that went out of the WC in the group stages and were held to a 1-1 draw against Bulgaria in their latest quaifier? Definitely value for the draw as Italy weren't great either... Thiught jagielka played well today, probably best player for us with hart who made couple of good saves.
Townsend bigging up his goal... "it would take a strike from 25/30 yards to score". Try about 19 Fair play though, great effort, doesn't seem to score tap ins.
I enjoy watching good football... something you two following Everton & United haven't witness in a good few years... not surprised you think this England team played some good stuff
I was expecting us to be completely outplayed today, especially after seeing our line up and when they scored. We've flattered to deceive against the minnows and I expected us to be found out today. So my expectations were low to begin with lol. But in all fairness we played well against a side we usually lose to and in all honesty at no point during the match did it feel like a friendly which is a credit to the players.
Shut up! We'd be top of the league if it weren't for injuries and the refs (and the media) picking on us! Wait til next season when we've got all our world class players back and Sturridge is back on form - next year is our year! Rodgers is the next Fergie!!!! YNWA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We've always done well in friendlies because we don't know how to play a friendly. Italy will still batter us in a competitive match.
