I am comparing us with the other clubs i.e. less shots on target and more on target against us

The bottom line is that the Manager will decide who he thinks can and who can't cut the mustard in the Championship.

If I were him I would be looking to add at least 8 better quality players to our meagre squad, and probably letting 3 or 4 go....i.e Wagstaff.

In particular I would be concerned by our Keeper, and front 2 at the next level up.

I will accept that in one-on-ones he is not at his best.
As for his kicking, it varies. Sometimes his distribution is erratic (which is ironic considering his name don't you think).
But the saving grace is he is a superb shot-stopper, and at his best when called instinctively into action.
This will be rather useful in a division where he will be fired at from all angles.
Fielding gets my support for as long as he is performing at a good level, but I admit we should have a plan B, and the good news is we have a manager who walks around with his eyes open

    City 155 (200)
    Swindon 132 (210)
    Mk Dons 134 (233)
    Preston 116 (204)
compare the figures in brackets City 200 shots on target MK 233. So we are less prolific. These figures say that we have the most shots on target against us and the lowest amount of created chances (but still top of the league)

    RP -
    'we'll never see Wagstaff again'.
    Banksy -
'Me and you are never that far apart on player comparisons but I can't see this with Wagstaff, he comes across as a hard working MF'

Our 'underwhelmed' comment on the appointment Cotterill was the same.
    We were wrong, thank goodness.

I got it wrong about Elliott judging him wrongly after 1 game.
You got it wrong about Wagstaff after watching him umpteen.
And you're opinion of Agard and Fielding is different to mine, I hope you're right.
    It's opinions.

    And this classic :
Banksy who slaughters Red Robin said
'I was completely underwhelmed by SOD's appointment, but I am now beginning to believe he does have a plan and can be the man to change the fortunes of this club around'

'only just found the balls to get back to spouting more rubbish'
    Found yours as well ?

    We all make mistakes Banksy.

Touched a nerve did I, don't be so touchy I was only joking!

Actually I did give Fielding a bit at the beginning of the season, but I think he has improved dramatically and I don't blame him for either goal last Saturday, Joe Bryan was at fault for the first one, his distribution has got better and he's not scared to give the ball to a defender. is he perfect? No he's league one!

Listen to yourselves children complaining and going on, ad infinitum, about the height of our goal keeper and various other sundry things about our future. When you compare the threads right now compared to the same time last year I know you will find our minds are in a far better place, so just sit back and enjoy the ride.

Have a nice day one and all.

But getting your knickers in a twist and arguing about grown men kicking a ball about is what being a football supporter is all about. The fact that they are usually wrong is coincidental

But our conversion of shots to goals is by far better, ain't your mrs told you it's not the amount of times you try and hit the target , it's the amount you actually find it, and burst the back of it.

And why would I try and lance my wife's boil?

Incidentally the main criticism has never been the goals we score its the ability to stop the opposition scoring and here we fall short of our competitors and I guess I must say we have been saved by Fielding keeping a disproportionate amount of efforts out
