So i'll ask this question as simply as i possibly can. If you don't like/trust polls, what system do you use to gauge opinion ? Over the last couple of years,iv'e raised the name change question and sought the opinion of a wide range of people. In fact iv'e become quite obsessive about the subject,to the point of being a bore to some. So then Happy. Where exactly does your opinion, the idea that you are a part of a majority, come from ? Honestly mate, you really should give an honest answer to this. Why are you so convinced you are a majority ?
You could look at Facebook groups with the No to Hull Tigers page having over 4000 likes & the Yes page having 44
So which group would like to have your sample taken from ? Let's get this sorted. Where on gods green earth is your sample group ?
It's not on a board populated mainly by a relatively small group of middle-aged men who constantly bemoan the good old days when they were still fit enough to fight. As for the 4000 likes on Facebook claim, I doubt the majority of votes were from Hull. The renaming issue is something that concerns supporters of many other clubs and that's were most of the votes came from, I reckon. Prove me wrong.
Why are you so convinced you're a majority? Polls like this? The samples they use are quite clearly skewed, even you must admit that? My view is, theres 18000 or so season ticket holders, the protest group, at its height, managed less than 2000. If the majority REALLY cared, they'd join and support a protest group against something. The attempted demos would have been much much better supported. The reality is, neither the Yes nor the No have anything approaching a majority. The difference is, the majority who are basically apathetic and don't give a **** one way or the other, and regardless of the name will still turn up at the KC every other week, are more beneficial to those of us in the Yes camp. They really do not help the No camp at all. I do not claim the yes is the majority, but I do claim that the No is a minority, because, they are. The facts speak for themselves as described above. Clicking a button on a poll online is completely unrepresentative of anything, other than the people who can be arsed to click a button. You get people who never even go to games voting, people who are fans of other clubs, sometimes just causing mischief, and whilst some people seem perfectly happy to click a "No" button, they seem way less inclined to give a protest group, or now, even a Supporters Trust, their money or their actual support. That's why I am convinced the No lot are not a majority. I did not say I was in a majority, you said I said that. Misquoting me or just plain old attributing stuff to me I didnt say seems popular tonight
Poll noun 1. a sampling or collection ofopinions on a subject, taken fromeither a selected or a randomgroup of persons, as for thepurpose of analysis.
Perhaps a ballot of all season ticket holders organised by the ERS with a simple question of yes or no to renaming the club, with no other loading of the questions would be the way to go......but we know that's not an option due to being irrelevant
Firstly, your description of the demographic of this board is completely wrong, there's teenagers to pensioners, it's by far the most representative City board. You've described CI, not this board and that's not a criticism of CI, I like to talk to other middle aged blokes about when we were ****. Secondly, most CTWD members were local, I maintained the membership database. The petition had signatures from all over the country, all over the world in fact, but those willing to pay and sign up to be members were City fans. Anyone who regularly uses social media, in any of it's forms, will tell you that the support for the Allam's idiotic idea is dwindling by the week and if there really is a load of people out there who don't mind this bollocks, then they've all lost their voices/fingers/minds. CTWD have called for a ballot of all season ticket holders since day one and if Allam is going to carry on with this nonsense, then HCST will continue to demand one. If anyone seriously thinks he'd get a majority, why the **** do they think he's refused to hold one?
When season pass renewals are sent out, if they had to be returned with an answer to Hull City or Hull Tigers, which do you think would have the majority?
AA this morning on Talkshyte.. "Millions of Hull Tigers fans in Asia are being denied ability to watch the team because of a minority of hooligans in this city. The FA must tell me how to change name and I do it, I keep my word. We have sound business plan, we don't need new application because the original application was convincing as is my CV"
I am not an Allam hater happy. I dont give my opinion based on what any one else says. But i honestly have never met one fan who would rather we were called Hull Tigers instead of Hull City So to me the huge majority want us to stay as Hull City. As do the FA. So my view is AA should drop the idea. Its not wanted. If he doesnt then let him leave. Simple as that. Also who knows we might end up with our greatest owner ever.. Whats the point in changing the name anyhow. There isnt one.. Its a stupid idea. Its pointless. Its not bloody wanted .
