Don't know how to break this to you but the word funny can be used in a variety of ways. Dots at the end of a sentence should however be a single one or three.

I go fairly regularly mainly for local research. I have the Hull City badge on my library card, or should I say did have. At the beginning of this season, I thought i'd better take last seasons season card out and destroy it, unfortunately I grabbed my library card and cut it in half. Blamed it on the dog.

No party political comments are allowed to remain, so it's not funny at all

So a comment about the party in government is not a party political comment?

    Erm, mods:

If I'm asked (told) to remove my signature because it's deemed to be (party-) political, can we have a level playing-field?

    Take a look at Suited and Booted's avatar = Thatcher. That's party-political.

And it's also offensive to many on here.

As someone who detests Sheffield Wednesday I find your avatar extremely offensive.

Party political comments are different to just using a picture of someone in your avatar(and I suspect S&B only does it as a wind-up), you can switch yours to Scargill if you like, as long as there's no comment accompanying it, I don't care.

I don't know why people try to make an issue of this, the no politics/religion rule has served us well so far and if anyone does want to discuss either of these things with other City fans, there's already a place to do so(as well as General Chat on here)...

I use my local library quite a bit as I read two or three books a week, being retired does have its advantages. The library I use in Brid. had a complete refit which made it light and airy but they cut down the number of books available to borrow.

I find charity shops are a good place for cheap and interesting books and also some of the old dears who staff them are better comedy value than most of the rubbish on tv.

My issue isn't so much that it's no longer a library(it's apparently been shut for ten years already), it's just that it's a fantastic building in an area that does not have good residential property and as a consequence, the development is likely to be done on the cheap and with no respect for the integrity of the building.

The blue plaqued Rank house on Holderness Road was almost derelict, but now seems to be having some good major surgery to bring it back to life.
