I'm good mates with a few ex Ferriby lads so I'm well happy they got a win. It was a massive achievement for them to even reach the final but to go on and win it is unreal. I've got a lot of time for Les hare, he works so hard and to have Ferriby winning the cup must make him so proud. Apparently the cup run has cost the club more than they get in prize money, which he wasn't happy about. But I bet he doesn't care one jote today.

Believe me it's a piss take of dull fc, in fact I can hear 'Old Faithful, you'll never win at Wembley' ringing out from Church Lane as we speak:1980_boogie_down:

What were the odds on a Ferriby win?

Forgot to place my bets this morning, was gonna stick Ferriby to lift the trophy in my accy as the booster. All my other selections so far have won anarl.

Only just leaving wembley now. Somewhat hoarse. Didn't see that second half fight back at half time.

Quality day out. Fair play to all the lads. They had to weather a storm (and a literal one) at the death.

    Green army!

It's a perfectly decent idea, but it wasn't mine.

    I know Bobby C and Adam N.

Two top lads who deserve massive credit, along with the rest of the boys.

Wish I'd gone now, saying that I've been that hung over today there's no way I could have travelled down to London. I struggled to go into Willerby.

    Well done to The Villagers.

A semi final and a play off final? They may be wins, but they don't really count. Play off final at a push - but FA cup finals should only be played at Wembley, not the Semi. We didn't win the final or the FA Cup is what I was getting at.

Lift the trophy is to lift the trophy. Doesn't matter if it's 90, aet or penalties.

It was actually 2-2 after 90 mins. Your point still stands however.

Of the odds I remember inside the ground. Ferriby were 9/4 to win, Wrexham were less than evens. Most likely results were:

    1-0 Wrexham 5/1
    2-0 Wrexham 6/1
    1/1 11/2
    1-0 Ferriby 9/1

Somewhat ironic that this appears in the thread. Quality bit of Jason Lee-esque nostalgia today.

Fantastic win got to say though for me Wrexham were the better side and deserved to be 2.0 up but once Ferriby scored from the penalty for the last 15 minutes it was all Ferriby and once they added a second I thought it was only one team that was going to win, they had the momentum going into extra time took the lead but credit to Wrexham they came back. Finally Ferriby did it well done to everyone involved with the club
