    Im a spurs fan

Yesterday was the first day all week that spurs didnt release any pictures of our training sessions on the official site - which would indicate to me that they didnt want our fans knowing who wasnt there.

maybe so pal we will have to wait and see

Sunderland told SSN earlier today that we would not be bidding for N'Zogbia or Defoe but Quinny said we wouldn't be signing anyone till August and we have 9 in already!

will just have to wait and see

I honestly think there is nothing in the Defoe rumours, and that the club has lost patience with N'Zogbia and his demands.

If you are right I wonder who we will go for

we know if there is anychance we can bring Welbeck in onloan we will and he will be the striker

but for the left wing god knows :S Brucie spoke towards the end of last season that a left winger was a big priority so will be interesting to see who we go for

Most of us spurs fans are kind of wanting this to happen. Don't get me wrong Defoe on his day can be an excellent striker and i do feel if he went to you he would do a very good job like Bent did but he has been misfiring for 18months now and for whehere spurs want to be ( back in the champions league) Defoe is not good enough i'm afraid. The 8mil branded about in the press is laughable though considering he's got massive prem experience, in his peak years and has a good goal scoring record. If it was a straight swap for Gyan then i'd be happy

Have you been to the saggy chops school of negotiation? that's up there with Stoke Rugby Club offering 10 million for Gyan.

I agree £8million for Defoe would be a low fee, but by the same token, no way is a straight swap for Gyan anywhere near.

Gyan is younger, and does a bit more outside the box, one thing people who don't watch Gyan regular will be unaware of, is a fantastic range of passing, his switch play is, at times, top drawer.

If you took Gyan, we'd expect £10million, ball park, as i'd say we'd be paying £10million for Defoe, similar to Bent, with maybe some add ons.

I feel Defoe would indeed 'do a Bent' if he came here and kick start his career, one thing i will say, is i ain't sure him and Gyan could compliment eachother in the same side.

Similat players Comm, physically, and in style, as i said, Gyan's age and work outside the box is why i value him higher, i would imagine a similar goals output from them individually, if they were playing with similar standard of player.

Gyan's a better one on one finisher, as Defoe often opts for the blast, but Defoe is strong from the edge of the box, where Gyan is a bit wild.

Well the 20mil that you rate Gyan is unrealistic so i would get that out your head. I think Defoe is prob worth in the region of 11/12mil and Gyan maybe about 15mil so prob a straight swap is maybe a bit to optimistic on my part but certainly you won't get Defoe plus stupid money for Gyan. The reports in the press of Defoe plus 5 mil for Gyan sounds slightly more realistic but even then i don't think spurs would go with this. Find it strange how apparantly both Gyan and Defoe weren't training for their clubs yesterday?

I'm not saying i feel Gyan is £20milions-worth mate, but as a club we have shown that if we are to part with a player we don't wanna lose, then it's top dollar.

If you think that Bruce rates Gyan as a less valuable commodity than £20million Jordan Henderson, you are way off.

We paid £13 million, and Gyan is not just a striker, he's a club figurehead, a bundle of life and energy, and a real character and selling point for the club.

He'd be that anywhere he went, the lad is a diamond, top to bottom.

£20million for the 'package', not just the player, is good value.

I tell you what, he'd be outstanding for Spurs, whenever he had the service last season he delivered, stats of 10 in 30 (20 starts), are very acceptable anyway, but add in a lack of pre-season, and a player making his first appearances in a new, stronger league, and playing in a side that had an 11 game slump and the figures become outstanding.

In a side with the quality of Spurs he would be dynamite, games like Wolves, Stoke at home last season where you piled on teams and struggled to finish, Asamoah would have thrived on.

He's better than people outside of SAFC and Ghana give him credit for, way better, when the side performs around him and he plays his natural game, he's a superb player, and a great link player, arguably Spurs missing ingredient (from my viewing, you'll know better than me <ok>).

If wesold for less than £20million, there'd be hell on, and the club knows this.
