    Read the thread from the start which kicks off with ill informed views and no knowledge of history/facts/truth and the only person with any credence got shot down ie book that was mentioned.I'm only replying to you 'cos you're sound but far too late for this and we've lost a hour so I'll take it up tomorrow.Oíche mhaith.

    If setting a murderer free would save my baby sons life then let him walk! If a man who murdered my baby son was allowed to walk free, well, words wouldnt describe how i would feel! It's a puzzler alright!

    If he your childs killer (God forbid) was to be freed to save other chidrens lives?

    It's such an emotive subject, but my view is that it has been worth it due to the ceasing of the bombings etc which has undoubtedly saved many, many lives....I would probably feel different if I had lost somebody close to one of those freed though..
