No, you said he talked sense apart from the points you clearly pointed out in your post - and I asked what about "The UK taxes and punishes successful people more than any other country in the world."
The very very very odd time when I think, maybe I shouldn't hate fenians so much, I come on here and then it all comes flooding back to me!
How is it the opposite to communism? It is taking money from the rich and giving it to the poor, to try to make everyone equal. That is communism There is no such thing as not being able to afford a decent education. It doesn't cost anything to go to school in this country, and if you do well you can get a student loan to go to Uni. You don't need to go to a private school to do well. I didn't go to a private school, and lots of my old school friends have degrees. 2 of them are doctors. So you think the top earners don't spend more on cigarettes, alcohol and fuel? First of all a smoker with money, will buy the cigarettes they want to smoke, the ones that are £10+ a packet. A smoker without money will buy rolling tobacco, which is cheap, or if they're feeling flush they'll buy the cheapest normal cigarettes, which are like £7. A wealthy person will also smoke when they want to smoke, they won't ration them. A poor person will ration their cigarettes as they have to make them last til they get their next giro. I didn't say every wealthy person smokes, the same as every poor person doesn't smoke. But of those that do, generally speaking the wealthy person will spend a lot more on their addiction. Which brings me onto Alcohol. Just because they don't stand on street corners doing it, don't wrongly assume that wealthy people drink less than poor people, as that's complete nonsense. A wealthy drinker will buy expensive bottles of Wine, Brandy or Champagne. Where as a poor drinker will generally buy the cheapest 4 pack from the local corner shop. As far as fuel is concerned, is their really any point me explaining this one to you, as it's blatantly obvious a 4 litre Aston Martin will use a lot more fuel than a 1 litre Fiat Punto
It's not communism, it's not even socialism, it's social democracy. If you want a stable society where it's possible for the talented poor to find their way above the average then you need a bit of redistribution to happen.
So , if you say you agree with what someone says in most parts it means you actually agree with the whole of their opinion or am I missing something. You can agree with someone if parts of what they say make sense to you and are factual even if followed with a load of pish.
Sooooooi....... Rich ****s smoke ***s that cost over a tenner a packet (?) , drink nuffin but the most expensive wines and spirits and all drive 4 litre Aston Martins. Poor ****s smoke baccy, drink four packs of cheap beer and scoot aboot in Fiat Puntos. Ok then. King Shergar......yer still a fud.
Obviously not as specific as that, but generally speaking yes. You really think a low earner who smokes 40 a day, is going to smoke them at £10 a packet. £140 a week? £560 a month? Probably half there salary! And at the same time, I can't imagine a high earner, spending half his day rolling up cheap ***s. It's pretty simple, people live within there means. So those who earn more buy higher quality Cigarettes and Alcohol. Aswell as more lavish and powerful cars, that use more fuel.
I literally don't know where to begin but i'll have a stab. It's not taking money from the Rich, they get ill too you know, same as the poor. Statistics have shown the poor live shorter lives so they are less of a drain, except when they are getting free Methadone because we know the unemployed are all probably addicts. You contradicted yourself in the same sentence, that takes a special skill, besides plenty of people were too busy working hard to be able to go to Uni, plenty of people worked hard at Uni, but no harder than people actually doing the hard graft, the ****ty jobs. You know, the working classes? Of course plenty of people can't go to Uni because they can't afford it, anyone who argues to the contrary has no grasp of reality. How many Members of the current batch of Tory, or Labour Mps do you think went to a Public School? There are huge benefits to attending a public school, the more expensive the better, that's not even an argument. The Vast majority of people who went Public will rise to the top, ususally despite their many flaws. Why on earth would you think Rich people spend more on ***s? Its bizzarre. Are their ***s made of gold or something, or is it because they have more leisure time to smoke? What planet are you living on that you think if you think the plebs are all firing about in clapped out Puntos and the Toffs in 80k motors? Are you for ****ing real? You should copy and paste this and send it to the Daily Mail, this is a masterclass in Class stereotyping. I consider myself a bit right wing, but you make me look like Che Guevara.
