Also, I don't know how it felt for those that were still active, but this game just really seemed to drag after the first day, with little pockets of action where things seemed to heat up, then it just died down again. Normally the last hour or two before nightfall have high drama, but nothing happened the last four nights. No-one was talking to each other.

I know I had quite a role in that on days two, but still <whistle>

Well done Italians. I may not have identified Valley as the Don, but I did at least correctly predict you would win <ok>

Tbh I thought the critical moment came earlier when the Italians were able to identify me by trying to recruit me, but stayed anonymous. I didn't even realise it had happened until you told us on our board the next day. If I'd have found out Valley was the Italian don the same time they found out I had a role it could have been a really interesting game of chicken between us - we definitely need to decide what happens if Mafia decide to recruit Mafia next time!

From that point on I was always going to be handicapped as they were going to block me every chance they got, assuming I was either vigilante or Russian

Valley and Obi Wan did do well to stay right under the radar. Trev not so much as he would have been assassinated by us had I not been blocked. Critically tho', Valley was their don whilst Obi Wan was our prozzie, so that meant the Italians were able to act all the time without being blocked or second guessed.

We definitely exposed our don too soon - none of us realised that an action would definitely be witnessed every night, so we didn't realise how much of a risk it was to recruit on night 1.

P.S. The police board from this game looks like the Mason board from the last game <laugh>

To be fair they didn't even identify you, they thought you were the Vigi. Only once you were pretty much locked up for the lynch I believe did I go back and check and realise you could be and probably were mafia, because I was trying to sort out who the Vigi was.

I wouldn't say it was critical as there was plenty of time left, but it was a huge setback as it identified two of our members (albeit one was already dead anyway). We were thereforedown and numbers and with no money to do anything for a couple of days.

Our bad luck was also down to MITO tossing coins! What a Tosser! :emoticon-0148-yes:

Only joking MITO! You did a cracking job. Just reading through your own thread, bloody hell must have been a nightmare! Especially with twats like me constantly asking you dumb and annoying questions. <laugh>

I'd certainly join in one of these again lads - if allowed of course! <ok>

Board posts:

Observations - 65

Masons - 130

Police - 81

Italians - 178

Russians - 377

We caned your arses on number of board posts!

Really? Well I posted the 7 and you died 2nd day, so must have been SWARBS. <whistle>

I went and researched what was best to say about it when it came up, I really didn't just make it up. They advice an mafia wikis was to be as vague as possible about what occurred so the only info I gave was to the person who tried the recruit nothing to the recruitee

Perhaps another more experienced runner of game might have I don't know

Equally, it was either good luck or very good play by the Ities (spit) to select SWARBS. That's how the game goes. Some very intuitive actions from those who are switched on, some good/bad luck and some fools tying to kill off their own team due to being nut-jobs/clueless. That's why it's fun!

It felt like that at times on the Russian board...

To be fair Nozzer, you were a top notch ghost. I didn't have a clue half the time as was only joining in the play late on due to work constantly trying to play catch up. Without your input I'd probably be whoring MITO. Wouldn't have blamed you for sodding off after your demise. So here's a public cheers! <cheers>

Actually, could that be an action - Mafia 1 to not request any hits or recruits but to whore the 'hit-man' instead so mafia 2 waste cash? Anyway...

<laugh> You should have said it's just a flesh wound!

I didn't realise immediately. I'd been expecting to die for two nights after the prostitute stopped me killing / paper revelation. It only dawned on me a couple hours after when I saw comments on the thread.

Can't say I was too impressed that my time had potentially been cut short. Especially considering how hard a task I had and I wasn't a million miles away from having a outside chance. Just needed to kill the hitman to stop the Russians killing me off.

I agree on the slowness I felt there was a couple of reasons

1. Poster type and hours people were on. There was little spark

2. Team choices. There were 1/3 of players trying to hide so they were let hide by town.

3. No milk, no me.... No obsessions

4. The hanging of nozzer dropped activity Tuesday and nobody pushed it since. It was everyone's voted one way and that's just that

5. I thought on Wednesday maybe the form of the voting table was different. Last games we had yet to vote on the table and anyone hanging on had to justify not voting. This time I don't recall a single time really the fact not everyone voted on any day was brought up

I believe most of the hits made were made at a time based on prior games only

Bodanki was, swarbs recruit certainly was, gerrez wanted to kill biscan on day 2 but was blocked. The danilo death and recruit were both on rep

All the early action was based on prior rep and others like obi and Morgan and valley got off and were hardly looked at.

Astro too really.
