Just amazing! suddenly scoring a goal looks the easiest thing the world if your name is Harry Kane of Tottenham Hotspur
Undecided on who has the worse defence, ourselves or Lithuania but not that it matters as Rooney is closing in on the record and Kane looks unstoppable.
Waddle the comedian "Well done to Harry Kane but I think Michael Caine and Citizen Kane would have scored against this lot."
The U21s have won 1-0, Carroll's goal being the decisive one. No idea on the status of his injury, lets hope its not serious.
He picked up an injury at QPR and was out for awhile, hopefully not the same as only two months left and then the U21 championships so really Carroll needs a good tournament and I know Monk rates him at Swansea so he should get some games if fit before the season ends.
The story the media wanted, Kane scores on debut. The Media are such unimaginative tarts you know what they will write. Kane looks like he can deal with all this very well atm.
Great stuff. Second half I thought we were better, really suffocated them. That cross to back side of the box had been on all game, Rooney and Delph both went close going for that and it took Kane a minute to work it out too, probably says a lot about the opposition that they still kept letting the man at the back go unmarked. It's a bright future for England with Kane and Sterling, hopefully a few more will establish themselves too.
Have to confess I've hardly seen him play. Don't get to follow all spurs players outside of the first team but aware of how impressive he has been from the comments on here, so considering he has been getting rave reviews then you would think he deserves a chance with the squad. But as we have seen at other clubs, such as Utd, they had many youngsters tipped to be first team players yet never make it. What happened to Zeki Fryers, remember us apparently getting one up on Utd...he is now at Ipswich Town!
"Putting my head on the block here but I think he(Kane) has the makings of an international footballer". Cheers Hoddle
I thought he was at Rotherham? With Pritchard, he can pick a pass, has a really good delivery into the box and really battles. I think he's a quality Premier League player in the making and I'd be very disappointed if he doesn't get chances with us next season. I liked Carroll but he just seems so timid. When you see Pritchard you can see he loves the scrap and has said as much whilst Carroll just looks like he plays within himself at senior level, especially with the ball which is where he should really be coming into his own. Hopefully Tommy will overcome that softness to him but he's got to do it soon. Wouldn't be surprised if he's sold to Swansea, to be honest.
Just checked and he lasted 3 months at Rotherham before moving to Ipswich yesterday. No idea what went on there.
