Off Topic Airbus A320 Crash In French Alps

Amazingly, there's already stuff on the web trying to link this tragedy with Cern.
There must be loonies just sitting around waiting for awful things to happen to cram them into their conspiracy agenda.

This entire episode is not about depression, it's about a self absorbed ****er who decided he was going to take a plane load with him on his suicide mission. That's not how 99.9% of suicides work, what this man carried out was mass murder.

Seriously, never occured to me, just that you mentioned it like..

 

I didn't read a lot of it, but the theories seem to range from Cern being a secret weapon developed ((presumably by the CIA) to bring down aeroplanes -through some sort of alien illuminati technology being misused through ignorance- ending up at some apocalyptic war between God and Satan because Cern are trying to play at being God and are opening up the gates to Hell or something.
Apparently, the Collider's aborted start-up and the plane crash are not coincidental.

If it wasn't such a terrible event these people would all be funny- as it is, they just come across as sick and opportunist.

I think there were some natural deaths in Switzerland that they can attribute to the Cern anticlimax too.
Maybe Rafa's rant had something to do with it.

This guy's a ****ing hero. Trying to take the door out with the emergency axe to try and save everyone. Got, well had, a big set of balls this guy and went down fighting for those people. He couldn't have been using the on board axe... No idea where you got that info from but it is incorrect.

 

Apparent quotes from his ex-GF have surfaced saying he had told her one day he would do something to change the system and make everyone remember his name. Horrible to think he pre-planned bringing the plane down. Currently I'd wait to see the full picture before we start to judge though.

 

Now if that is not mentally ill I don't know what is. Wonder if this guy was taking meds and if so what kind, it is often the case that people suffering conditions like clinical depression go off on one on some meds and not on others.

What he said to his GF, anyone could take such a comment as just an angry rant, only after the fact does it seem such a clear indicator of what could happen.

He's been nuts throughout, nuts before he got his license that's the thing, even when he planned it. I could call him evil if he had some political agenda or bitterness over a repvious issue, but to plan it that way taking yourself out, no statement no note nothing, that is not the actions of a well human being.

The real question is how the **** he got through it all being nuts and got into a cockpit.

 

Why not, you have complete nuts who manage to dupe populations and become leaders of countries. One fruitcake getting into a cockpit is minor by comparison.

Andreas Lubitz, the co-pilot who flew a Germanwings plane, into a mountain killing 150 people, was being treated for problems with his eyesight that might have threatened his career as a pilot, it was disclosed on Saturday.
Lubitz, 27, was suffering from ‘vision problems’ which may have compounded a psychiatric condition from which he had suffered for at least six years.

 

Does anyone know if there are any restrictions on the mental health of HGV drivers? I ask because some crank, if they chose the right time of day, could wipe out a whole lane or more of family cars, if so motivated.

 

Lorries are far more dangerous than planes too. I've been taken out by a lorry before and the recovery people said they deal with similar things every day involving lorries. Dangerous vehicles if you ask me!

 

Have you ever driven on motor way?.. overtaking HGV vehicle and the driver seems to be sleeping?.
It happened to me before the HGV driver whom I presumed was from Eastern Europe was having a nap.
That was on M4...very scary.!
