You're seriously suggesting that they should call in the Army to deal with a long queue on the motorway? What else? Big demonstrations, football matches? Call in the Army whenever the police are stretched. What "other force" were you suggesting above? Navy? MI5? Girl Guides? Anyway, just to clarify, are the police a "joke" because a. They didn't hand out water (you've ruled that one out) b. Drivers did mad things to get away from the jam c. An incident stretched them d. They didn't mobilise the army e. You just generally have a downer on anyone who expects the public to be sensible - blame someone, quick! f. something else that I probably couldn't even make up? Vin
You forgot the scouts, they are feeling left out. They could light camp fires in the middle of the roundabouts and sing songs.... That's just leave it as you disagree with me before it gets into another argument.
We're not arguing. You've made an utterly unsupportable statement, "Southampton police are a joke". No-one...absolutely no-one has agreed with you and your solution is to close your ears and shout "na na na naaaah na, I can't hear you". Classy. Vin
It is still my view and that won't change. So why have pages and pages of the same stuff of me and you disagreeing? Don't you think other users of this thread will get bored of it? As for your last few lines I would suggest seeing that two people won't agree on something. So agreeing to disagree so we don't have the same stuff said over and over for no reason is classy yes.
And therein lies why you were on my ignore list for so long. You're always correct and anyone (not just me) who asks for evidence for your views (or presents counter evidence) is just plain wrong. My advice is never, ever, ever change your opinions if you realise that you're wrong. No, hang on, not that, the other one. Vin
Can I go back on your ignore list? I am also not always correct only 99% of the time I am afraid. I am only human after all . Back to being serious. At the end of the day opinions are opinions. If some one has a different opinion then you does that always make them right or wrong? No it doesn't as everyone is different and will view things in a different light. Am I right about what I said? Most probably not but when my dad is involved in the aftermouth and nearly gets hit, I have a reason to be annoyed.
1. Yes. 2. You'll never admit it but you've just made that bit up. You would have mentioned it before. Shame on you. Vin
Why would I make up that? My dad was stuck for 5-6 hrs is a que. A guy cut over a roundabout straight infront of my dad nearly hitting him, just to get infront of a few people. I even said he nearly got hit in response to you early on(11:35am post). So yes I did mention it before.
My post was not mainly about water either, read it - it was about your over critical post about police trying to deal with a fairly major motorway incident.
