For all the hype when we bought him and the way he played for Chesterfield at boothferry Ryan Williams is worth a mention

I don't think Appleby can be included, the lazy bastard wasn't on the pitch long enough for anyone to make a judgement on his ability.

The thing I always remember about Appleby was seeing Ash and another couple of players (Shaun Smith and might have been Ryan Williams but memory is hazy) having lunch in Quayside looking happy as Larry, getting on great. Appleby happened to pass by, stuck his head through the door to say hello and perhaps join them and they couldnt have been clearer in telling him he wasnt welcome. Appleby looked stunned and didnt seem to understand why but for me it spoke volumes.

Was looking down the list and thought you've missed him... you've MISSED HIM... then i see here you found him!

Hesford was dreadful! he came with a good rep from Sunderland though thats the thing, i think i hated him before he'd pulled the shirt on though coz my all time favourite player went the other way :emoticon-0106-cryin

Nah, Sunderland fans were killing themselves when we signed him. I remember bumping into a shedload at a service station shortly after the deal and their emotions were mixed between joy at losing him and sympathy for us. But getting back to the point, he was schite.

Hands up who went to Morecambe away in the FA cup the day after we sold Andy Payton and we had a forward line of.....wait for it..... Neil Buckley and Herry Ngata. Nevermind any discussion on individual player's ability, this has to be hands down the worst forward line ever to represent our club.

It's all relative, at least that was a cup game against Morecombe, I still can't believe we went into Premier League games with ***an and Manucho leading the front line.

I'm always stunned when these threads appear that names like Lewis or those who've appeared for us in the higher divisions are mentioned.

We have such a rich (recent) history in truly dreadful players. Thankfully David Jones & Christian Sampson have already been mentioned, but Robbie Turner (we had him on loan from Cambridge and he was so bad, they let him play against them!), Simon Dakin (career highlight being that he fell down a lift-shaft), Craig Lawford (aside from the cross he provided to allow Fettis to score against Oxford), Jamie Marks are all not fit to tie my boots, never mind proper players

I'll also put forward the players to appear in the two worst City games I've ever seen (Can you name them?)
    Paul Gibson
    Warren Joyce
    Neil Mann
    Matt Hocking
    Neil Whitworth
    Steven Hawes
    Brian McGinty
    David D'Auria
    David Brown
    Craig Dudley
    Gregor Rioch

    Or
    Steve Wilson
    Adam Lowthorpe
    Scott Maxfield
    Michael Edwards
    Mark Greaves
    Warren Joyce
    Richard Peacock
    Steven Boyak
    David Brown
    Brian McGinty
    Gregor Rioch

Whilst those lists surprising contain players who weren't that bad, the two performances of those games were utter s***e

The first one looks to me like Donny away when they were bottom of the entire league by something like 20 points, hadnt won all season and then beat us with just about the last kick of the game. A true low point.
