Guys - can we start posting anything associated with politics on the politics thread please? Trying to work out how to remove the relevant posts from this thread just now. It may take some time <doh>

I encountered the same problem, and could see no way of overcoming it, when I saw a post that merited correction...

I can't believe if vic was taking the mickey or not, but the anthem played for Scotland's football teams is "Flower of Scotland", it was when "God Save the Queen" was played for NI, they were booing. My comment is that I can understand the booing when played for England due to the history between the countries, but no such history exists between Scotland and NI as far as I'm aware.

Glasgow believes that the Queen is not their queen as shown in the independence referendum. That is why they boo the so-called "National Anthem". It had nothing to do with NI.

I would not boo the Anthem, but I have not sung it in decades......

Brian - yes it tends to be but the fixtures are announced about a year in advance so you should be able to check through the FA's website

Good day all, back home after my quick trip over. Tuesday afternoon as I entered Limoges airport the TV screens were showing the air crash in the Alps, just what you wish to see as you are about to take a flight. Thursday afternoon as I drove back up to East Midlands the radio was reporting the fact that the crash was a deliberate act, not good once again.
At Limoges I went through the scanner without the slightest problem, but at East Midlands set the alarm off despite wearing similar clothes. Very strange as just about every male had the same thing happen and we were all searched, yet the women went through without a problem. I wonder if the scanner was designed by ladies? :emoticon-0105-wink:
