What an idiot this man is. I know people keep posting about him on here, but this one really does show him for the stupid twat he is http://www1.skysports.com/football/...rland-burnley-qpr-leicester-who-will-stay-up? Just a couple of snippets - Hull Hull look to have a hellish run-in to the season, with six of the current top eight to play, plus a tough trip to Crystal Palace and six-pointer with relegation rivals Burnley. Steve Bruce’s side managed to take just five points from those eight teams earlier in the season. A repeat would leave them on 33 points – a total with which no club has survived in a 38-game Premier League season. Verdict: I think they will get out of it, I don’t expect them to go down. Sunderland Dick Advocaat will hope to have assured Sunderland of their Premier League status before their final two games of the season against Arsenal and Chelsea – and given Sunderland’s record against their remaining opponents so far this season, he’ll be confident they can do just that. Sunderland have already taken 12 points from the teams they have left to play in this campaign. A repeat would move them on to 38 points – and beyond the average tally of 36.5 points usually record to stay up. Verdict: think they will go down. They are not scoring goals, they are not playing well, the manager has come in and he doesn’t know this league. I think he will find it very difficult. What a way to completely ignore the facts and fixtures of each team, and just give an opinion based on who he dislikes the most
Bookies think its a 6 horse race with qpr all but gone https://m.oddschecker.com/m/football/english/premier-league/relegation
Ok I see his logic 33 points is obviously more than 38. This is clearly some form of advanced post doctoral theory of numbers which will be applied to the league table at the end of the season.
I'm yet to see Dick bring anything to the table that will keep us up. Not unusual considering he's only been here a week and by no means an insult to him. That will hopefully change as of the mags having had an international break. So until I see something about us that makes me think we have got what it takes to stop the drop... I would be inclined to think Burnley will pip us to the post. Then Merson starts spouting utter ****e and it makes me think we'll stay up because he simply cannot be correct. Confusing times.
He is talking sense for once, some of you on here are totally deluded, even Defoe can't score, we need a miracle. We don't even have a Fk*n shot man !!!!!!
We are in a ****storm now. There is every chance we'll go, people need to be prepared for some pundits to tell it how it is. We are 50/50 ATM so naturally some pundits will have us down. Just have to hope big swinging dick improves us quite drastically!
Since when we ever not in a **** storm? Most on here have acknowledged that but we live in hope more than expectation, which is our usual mode.
no he isnt talking sense, he says one thing then his verdict goes completely against it. I am not saying we are not in trouble (we are), but Merson can't even follow his own ****ing logic !
From the bottom six, you have the most recent experience of getting out of this, that'll count for a lot when the 'panic' sets in. Other teams around you have a history of bottling it.
Hope you're right terry! (or do I have to call you Juan now? Is your surname Kerr?) It is still firmly in our hands and no-one elses - we win at least the same amount as thos below us then we stay up.
You can call me what you like my friend. Burnley I'd say are the biggest threat from the teams beneath you, they're the only club with something about them, I honestly believe there's only that 18th spot to think about now, like I said on another thread, I'd not swap your fixtures for Hull's and take their extra 2 points. A win for you lot in the derby will change everything, but it's not game over if you don't.
Despite being ****e we've taken 6 points from our last 8 games, thanks to draws we've picked up regularly all season, even if we didn't improve and looking at the fixtures we could stay up on one win and keep up the new found tradition of drawing games. If dick can improve us I think we'll stay up comfortably. I Think it will be between Hull and Burnley for last place with Burnley going down.
The annoying thing is these players CAN do it if they get their fingers out, and they need to fast. We could beat the mags and Palace draw at Stoke and that should be just about that, before we play Leicester. I cannot see us getting owt from Everton, Arsenal, Chelsea and Soton. Leicester might be down before we play them, Arsenal could be way clear in the top 4, and Chelsea should have already won the premier league, so that could help also.
