Ferrari are on the rise, McLaren are setting sights on the future. Mercedes probably will lose advantage next season.

So will Lewis go to Ferrari or Honda for the money and future prospect, or will he accept the standard wage Mercedes give him and win maybe a 4th title?

Only problem is Kimi has an option to stay on for a 3rd year I read if he wants, considering the early performance of the power unit he will likely stay beyond 2015 with Ferrari. Thus leaving only McLaren for Lewis as the other option.

Indycar wants to be the next F1

    http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/118188

They almost were in the late 90's, but like any sport where there was growth, some people thought they weren't getting a big enough share, so the series split, only to reamalgamate years later when they realised two competing series could not run alongside each other.

Back then they had diverse manufacturers, engine suppliers and some topline drivers in the field. The racing was good, the coverage excellent and the overall impression was of a series that could seriously take on F1 as it expanded to races across the globe.

The race I went to at Brands Hatch however showed all that went wrong with Indycars in the mid oo's. Lack of quality in the drivers and cars in the field, outdated machinery and bad racing. The BTCC support race was much better (even bearing in mind the same period was a low point for that series), and di Fredsta will be pleased to hear that a certain Lewis Hamilton crashed in front of me at Paddock Hill Bend in his race ;).

Indycar still has a lot of problems, not least a less than recognisable field of average drivers, little car/engine diversity and races still getting cancelled. It needs to sort its house out first before getting too aspirational again.

So now he's not on Top Gear any more maybe Clarkson can use some of those millions to buy a race seat at Manor?

I can understand your response, EMSC. I'd have been more than a bit surprised if you'd agreed with Barrichello's publicised point of view. However, there are many others (including myself) of the opinion that even six was a fix! In view of this, perhaps you will understand that I think Barrichello was actually being rather generous!

P.S. I hope you will appreciate that this is not intended as a 'wind-up'. Please know that I am aware of vast numbers of people who share your view.

To be fair I can see Rubens view of it as well. But he stepped into the dragons den back then. As the saying goes, 'He signed up to it'.
