The ownership of the stadium is obviously a significant issue, who manages the SMC isn't, it's unlikely to have much of an impact on Hull City and at this stage we don't even know if anything will change.
It may have something to do with debts for the Super Stadium Holdings of £3.4 million and debts for the SMC of £8.3m. The two companies debts exceed their assets by over £10 million. Pay a pound and find an extra £10 million. That was the position according to the 2014 published accounts. Here's the link if you want to check for yourself. Ready willing and able to get involved etc. Facilitate and lead discussions with Hull city and the council. Or just throwing stones at the Allams? Only if its given to them and no responsibilty except tell others how to do things.
Just bobbed along and bought the club for a quid was your remark about the Allams. Maybe people may have a little more respect for the things they have had to do and take on to run the club. Notjust think 70 million a year from the PL piece of piss anyone can run it, make it a fiver a ticket and still make a profit. etc etc
"Football should be like the air we breathe." He came up with the idea of £5 tickets. It's because he likes being heard and noticed, but people are going to hold him to these promises. In 2010 he decided to buy the club and SMC, now he says it isn't his responsibility. He loves going on about power and responsibility, yet now he won't even take responsibility for something he bought on his own and assumed control of. He's responsible enough to kick the community out of it of course, but not enough to care about. If he didn't want the SMC he shouldn't have bought it. If he doesn't want it now he needs to convince someone to buy it. If they don't like the terms it won't happen, and it remains his responsibility.
Why not its all allam fault its losing money. well thats what i keep hearing. Dont forget its the peoples stadium it runs on fresh air.
I made that remark about the lack of respect Assem Allam showed those people who gave the club money to pay electric bills and wages when we was facing the real threat of liquidation. They gave that money with no strings and definitely not at 5% interest. I don't think I've ever called for a fiver a ticket.
So what's your point here? Someone should do him a favour and take it off his hands? No one should complain when he breaches the terms of the lease to kick local sports teams out? I don't even know which ridiculous argument you're trying to go with here.
It's a business in which the rent from the two professional sports clubs subsidises the amateur sports. That is what the lease says. To make it profitable the SMC has to increase the rents paid by Hull FC and Hull City AFC. If it can't increase Hull FC's rent then it has to increase Hull City AFC's rent. This vicious circle is maybe the reason Assem Allam offered the SMC to the Council for a pound. With two rental agreements that don't cover the costs of the stadium and the Arena the council tax payers of Hull can pick up the bill.
Rather than buy the SMC for a pound should they sell the KC to the SMC? http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-south-west-wales-31352066
Allam yes. He bought the SMC and its lease arrangements. Nothing to do with City apart from it being the same owner.
It's the responsibility of whoever owns the business. Would Allam be sharing the profits if the SMC was making any? Would you be asking him to? Do you think he should bank any profits but locals shoulder any losses?
It wasnt a promise go back and read what he said. Not that thats likely on here, ence so many likes for your post. Your mate of the Hsct also thinks it should be a fiver and he thinks we should be building a hundred thousand capacity stadium. The moneys out in the open now and it makes it all the more ridiculous to think hcst should get a stake in the club. They have nothing to give and should stay out the way of even thinking of running it.
Not saying someone should do him a fav and take it off his hands. Whos said they hav bein any breaches of the terms
Most of this means nothing to me, seems miles away from the topic being discussed. You're obsessed with HCST; all these words yet you've got nothing to say. Dunno which mate you're on about but I think everyone would be happy if it was £5. It's not realistic, but Allam made a decision to go on about it when he first came because it made people listen and respect him. Now he's got a grudge, him and his lad are going out of their way to give nothing to the fans, even money specifically set aside by the PL for that purpose. Those comments are causing him problems now he's changed his tune. I wouldn't have thought my post getting likes would bother you. I thought you did this whole contrary persona on purpose. Snippets of the lease have been posted on here.
