AP's comments about Jimmy joining the training camp in Slovenia show a clear departure from everything he's said previously: "The situation with Jimmy is that he's gone to Slovenia as part of the first-team squad and I genuinely can't see that changing," said City's head of football operations Adam Pearson. "We've had a bit of interest from QPR, as has been widely reported, but that hasn't come to anything. "Jimmy is fit, he's come back in good shape and he's part of the first-team plans for sure. "He looks to have a smile on his face and let's hope he can play a part for us." http://www.thisishullandeastriding.co.uk/story-12913635-detail/story.html I suggest this means one of three things: 1. Assem has said that he has absolutely no intention of paying him to play elsewhere and as no-one will pay him what we're paying him, he's likely to stay and should be considered in first team plans. 2. It's a signal to DQPR that they're either going to have to put up, or shut up, as they're not going to get him on the cheap. 3. It's a signal to Jimmy that if he wants a move, he's going to have to contribute to making it happen, or we're not letting him go anywhere(it's fairly obvious he wants out and with DQPR he has the opportunity to be back in the Premier League). Which scenario sounds most likely, or is it simply a combination of all three?
Mmmmmm is Pearson (Nigel) being forced, against his wish, to include Bullard in his plans when up to now he has never shown any inclination in that direction?
All three. Its definitely being handled better than AP did on his own last year. That was nothing short of a disgrace.
Or, is he getting the opportunity to play him.............. No-one actually knows the situation, is it NP or AP that didn't want him to play. Is it Allam who has now said that we're paying for him we'll play him. I think one thing is for certain, all we can do is guesstimate the situation and the only people who know what's going on are the Pearsons and the Allams.
Just dont want us to build the team round him only for him to **** off first chance he gets and leave it too late to bring in anyone else.
Well, if we do end up playing him, it will cause problems with the likes of Evans and Harper. Can't see Jimmy playing instead of McKenna, so if he plays it will have to be instead of one of those two. I still think hiring a hitman is the best solution, surely £1m bounty would do the trick.
The upside is we can be serious challengers, if & only if NP & JB are committed to each other The downside is we remain shackled by his wages. JB is controlling the destiny of this club at the present and could do for the next 2 seasons. Watching the recent interview with Paul McKenna on tigersplayer, Bullard was clearly there first day of training.
Bullard is an attacking midfielder, McKenna a defensive one - no problem there Harper dropped for McKenna - no worries Evans has been steady but unspectacular, wherea Bullard was player of season at Ipswich, but he's young and should rise to the challenge. Cairney out on loan?
So JB is on his way to Slovenia which is good. DQPR will have to up their interest and come up with better offer. Should be between the clubs seeing as JB doesn't have an agent sat in the middle. Will be also interested in the other travellers. Will Cairney travel? - Doncaster. Are McShane and Kilbane back in training yet? - they got extra time off, but also is there outside interest? - Reading? Where is Ayala and Gulasci? - are they on the Liverpool tour? What other non-city players are we taking to have a look at. Pity our press don't seem very interested in finding out about city.
Quality post mate and agree with you 100%. Its time they all put up and shut up. Let the football do the talking. The best way to pay for Bullard is reach the PL in May 2012. Bullard can make that happen. The sound bites indicate that they are all driven towards that aim.? There will be games that Bullard should not and will not play in but overall he is what the club needs in midfield. Let it happen now. We've all had enough of this story.
wonder if its all a ploy, i wonder if qpr offered 35k a week we'd let him go? if it was a permanent for a 2 year deal asking us to play 10k a week for him I reckon we'd accept, just not for a loan.
I think that's unfair. He did play him for a period last season, starting with Derby at home I think, and he only got bombed after his truly woeful performance in the cup against Wigan. And he deserved it.
looks like i was right all along OLM and he will be playing for us next season as i suggested. should have took you up on that £200 bet.
