Has the usually sane Neil ‘Mullers’ Mulholland gone mad?!? His first 2 choices to ride The Druids Nephew (Gerraghty and Dave Russell) are both out of the GN through injury and he now wants to audition potentially jockeys in an X-Factor type contest! He’s built an ‘Aintree type’ fence at his base in the county and wants potential riders to jump The Druids Nephew over it before making a decision once he has seen the combination in action?

Will Louis Walsh and Cheryl Cole be standing nearby to give feedback?!? Perhaps as a county dignitary I will be asked...

Hello fellas, I just wanted to pick your brains. I hear pundits go on about premier tracks when running on the flat or jumps. What would you regard as the premier tracks for the jumps game? Cheltenham is obviously top but it would be interesting to see what else made the list?

Tracks that hold grade 1 races, would be my view.

I don't like the look of the top 4 in the market - Velator's 2 best runs of late was when he was wearing cheekpieces which are not on today.
Big Society hasn't won over fences, was too bad to be true last time and revels in heavy.
Golden Chieftain's last win was at the festival in 2013 - gone downhill since.
Achimota was all out to win at Bangor last month and a 7lb rise makes him very vulnerable.

So I'll be having a small wager on Saroque @ 8/1

    15:40 Newton Abbot - Echo Foxtrot e/w

(Don't usually bet e/w at a short a price as 6/1, but probably best here. Think selection might find the sharp NA track to his liking, but that's only a gut feeling. Fairly consistent in this sphere, but needs to run his race right out).

Good luck to Stick and Don with Squire today!

My load for this afternoon and hoping for at least one winner are:

    3.00 Ling HENRY GRACE 11/4
    4.30 Ling DISHY GURU 6/1
    2.40 Nab EARTHMOVES 2/1
    3.10 Nab VELATOR 9/4
    4.10 Nab BRODY BLEU 5/2
    2.50 Sou TARTAN TRIP 4/1
    3.50 Sou SPEIGHTOWNS KID 25/1

Hoping the outsider of this lot is my best chance, seems to run a good race now and again at Southwell and its last race can be discounted as it was over 5f and drawn highest. Today better drawn and over 6f I can see at least a place.

    Good luck all.

Stick I see one you put up last time is out tonight at Kempton in PROOFREADER. Not been mentioned yet on here so will probably win.

I see the Racing Post had the winner of the Southwell 2.20 The Nab down as the same ownership as Squire,
Stick is The Nab one of yours as well?

Hard luck with Squire today, he never really settled giving himself little chance of getting the extra 2 furlongs.

Alex Steedman was talking him up before the race, as a horse he believed would win a race soon. So hopefully he's right.

I think a mile and a half could be his trip in time, but I'd go back down to a mile and a quarter for now until he is taught to settle better.
